I live in germany. Depiction of swastikas and nazi paroles is illegal unless it's for the purpose of education or art. Clearly did not stop the rise of neo nazism here, with every fash just dogwhistling that shit instead so the law shrugs its arms. All it did was censor art not recognized as such

Also I don't think I want art be ruled in any way by people who shrug their arms and say "nothing to be done" regarding people in the files or image generators' ability to create sexual abuse content of real people

Something I realized some time ago is that no matter how abhorrent I will find something in art, censorship will neither stop its creation nor really impact the depicted content from happening in real life to any degree. So why impede on freedom of expression for nothing
