It saddens me to think of you not feeling comfortable indulging in more risqué depictions of bodies you draw because of backlash from naysayers. I've always loved how you draw fat characters and would love to see that, too.

Yeah, when I saw it, I was expecting it to be a DUNGEON CRAWLER first and foremost. I was surprised when I saw there were cards. It's got far more in common with slay the spire than any DRPG. Mystery dungeon style randomized hazards and more ways to interact with the crawling might help.

Yeah it is an interesting case where it's adopting the trappings of a nearly extinct genre, but missing most of what *made* that genre. If I had to think about food, puzzles, maze navigation, or difficult encounters, it wouldn't be vampire survivors- but without ANY of those, it doesn't work either.

Could I have more character cards, or actually make navigation decisions? So far no. Could encounters be as interesting as slay the spire? Because that's what it's directly against. So far, no, not really. It's just faster. I hope it can carve more of an identity out because I still like the idea

I think I must have spent an hour or so before I actually had a run catch momentum. It did eventually happen, and it's a short enough demo that I can't say there's not more room to ramp up, but I have to give the benefit of the doubt. I think it needs more thought, not than less, opposite of VS 2/3

Hmm, actually reflecting on my time with vampire crawlers, I actually think it's really in need of more time in the oven and a stronger core concept. It wears the trappings of a blobber but it really is just fast slay the spire. It lacks ways to interact with its environment which is the point. 1/3
