non-fantasy: dokyusei, white album 2
fantasy elements: tsukihime, good old fate/stay night, yume miru kusuri
horror: muv-luv, gore screaming show if you can handle really extreme content
basically, i think it's good to give criticism where it's due, but i think a lot of people think it's weird to care about writing that centers women doing anything at all, and when they're done criticizing, they uncritically flee back to their all-male action series they tout as more important
i really like well-done bishoujo games in particular bc they revolve entirely around giving depth to female characters' emotional struggles, and even if that can come with elements i would also criticize, i think this can be way more compelling than refusing to focus on female characters at all!
even though i think both have huge problems with misogyny, i don't think stuff that focuses on dating girls is inherently more misogynistic than the average shonen. i don't know why it's considered fine to put up with some bad writing for a focus on men, but weird to do the same for a focus on women
if people can be into shonen manga for the unintended periphery reason of yaoi shipping, i don't see how it's any worse or different to be into bishoujo games or harem anime for the periphery reason of yuri shipping and enjoying a mostly-female cast who do interact with each other
ITS REALLY GOOD. ITS ALSO A VEDY SMOOTH READ

every entry-level job simultaneously wants you to have 2-5 years of experience and be 18 years old so they can think you won't expect a livable wage
we live in an era in which corporations are cutting jobs for creatives bc they are ruled by greed, while the most marginalized creatives among us are literally dying from lack of medical care. if you For Real care about art, you must spend the time and effort to seek out and support independent art
i genuinely beg you to divert some of the time you spend engaging with corporate IP-driven media towards engaging with independent art by marginalized creatives who need the attention and money more
i have a part time job at an art museum that i actually really like a lot, but it doesn't pay much or provide insurance, so most of my online art stuff goes straight to medical expenses
if anyone would like to throw some bucks my way to help with the money i've had to spend on diagnosing/treating my severe strabismus, i still have wuk lamat, sphene, and koana charms!

i really can not emphasize enough that the most materially impactful thing you can do for trans people right now is hire them.
this bill is legitimately a three-alarm fire. if they manage to define trans existence as explicit then there is nothing stopping them from genocide. i need every single cis person talking about this, calling their reps, getting out in the streets.
your commitment to a bit awes and mystifies me

for almost a year, i've been playing a character named fido in my vtm campaign, and tonight they finally got the ability to shapeshift into a dog
i can't drive anymore bc i developed strabismus, which i didn't get checked out in the beginning stages because i had no insurance, and now i have to eke out eye doctor appointments during my working hours, in between longer commutes. and this is entirely ridiculous & doesn't have to be this way
basically everything compounds if you're poor-- no time or money to go to the doctor, medical issues get worse, you develop disabilities that make it harder to work the abusive hours necessary to move up in a career or save money as a cushion for changing directions. really good system
the most humiliating thing about working a job with no benefits is having to ask permission to be allowed to go to the doctor, which you also lose money for doing
i've always been interested in this series but never checked it out before this one, because it's supposedly easier and makes the bachelor look like he's experiencing twink death

Call your house rep and tell them to support HB 2540 which will increase the amount disabled people can save from $2k to $10k and remove the marriage penalty where you lose your only source of income if you get married regardless of how little they make. Switchboard: (202) 224-3121
someday we'll linger writing by howl art by inari dimitri x ferdinand "A poor place to find a healer," Dimitri remarked idly, some of the bare humor he had wrested back from the pits of his personality showing through. "You'll be needing this?" He stepped closer, openly taking in the state of Ferdinand as he did so. Ferdinand reached out his good hand to accept the returned ointment, and cleared his throat. "My apologies for my state. I intended to address it before anyone caused a fuss." Dimitri tilted his head, considering. "No fuss necessary. I... had business here. In the... old classroom." He paused, and then nodded. Seemed that was the lie he'd be going with. "I may as well join you, since we're both here."
