It all feels so antisocial. Instead of reaching out to a coworker when you need help understanding something you just ask the chatbot. Everyone is in their silo completely disconnected from their work and any sense of collaboration with other humans

It doesn’t practice therapy according to any recognized methodology. it’s developed by a for profit company to be sycophantic and encourage engagement. It has been shown to encourage delusions and suicide. oh and it’s not a human and weirdly I value human relationships over fucking chatbots
Also, churning out slop in the name of efficiency can cause an increase in bugs, so we are actually spending more time after hours resolving issues. At the end of the day ”more efficient” actually means we are expected to get more done in less time and work longer hours.
Another is reading code is harder and less enjoyable than writing it. The shift to gen ai means we are spending more time reviewing machine generated code. If you care enough to take the time to review the slop there is arguably not much productivity benefit.
I think there are a few things going on here. One is ai enables multitasking, which is mentally draining. You can prompt it to do multiple things at once, solve some problem while you’re on a meeting, etc.
Hmm seems fake. is this ai? i noticed he doesn’t have a head
Moving fast has taken precedence over best practices that have developed over decades and we’re enthusiastically building the system that will replace us, while offloading our critical thinking skills to a chatbot until our brains atrophy from disuse. But otherwise everything is fine
why what do you need it for
As a software dev whose company recently mandated that we must use claude code for all things, I’m looking forward to this
I can tell this isn't ny times or the headline would be "appeared to close his eyes"
"Elite government coders" as if they aren't just going to try using Claude Code for everything
Behaviorial addiction - famously a thing that doesn’t exist. No one has it, no one has studied it and no one has written about it
instead of breastfeeding you gotta give it muscle milk
Woah this is cool. Gonna be really hard to choose between the chicken parmigiana and pasta primavera for my entree

This is what people mean when they say they’re “tripping balls”
Or even fraggle rap-rock
I also do this when I’m enjoying the conversation, but that’s probably on account of the adhd
i love mortal kombat

None of it! I call it politricks!!
I’d click “no” for most of that. they might think you’re overqualified
who? I don’t listen to boomer music
They haven’t stated that the spotify data specifically is being provided to ai companies, but they talk about working with ai companies in other blog posts, like annas-archive.li/blog/ai-copy...
I’m all for hurting spotify, but it’s too bad annas archive collaborates directly with ai companies
smh really a step down from hot boy summer
