Welch will be up for reelection in 2028. He’ll turn 81 yrs old that year. While his senior senator is older, Welch may not even run for reelection.
For any who didn’t see it or don’t remember, Markwayne is the guy who wanted to fistfight Teamsters President Sean O'Brien in a Senate hearing in 2023. Senator Sanders (age 82 at the time) had to intercede to avoid a physical altercation between Mullin & O’Brien.
