Remember, the NWS consolidated wind chill watches & extreme cold watches to just extreme cold watches for this winter. The next step would be for the NWS to issue cold weather advisories or extreme cold warnings for our area (also new wording).

The first ever EXTREME COLD WATCH has been issued for all of central Indiana to start off Monday. Dangerous wind chills down to -25 are possible.
Winter storm warnings are now out for most of central Indiana Sunday midday into early Monday afternoon. I'm still thinking 5"-10" of snow along I-70 down to Bloomington/Columbus.
North of I-70 into north central Indiana will have a quick drop off in snow totals.
No official snowfall map just yet Storm Track 8, but the probability of 6”+ exists somewhere in the state, it’s just nailing down where. Winter Storm watches will likely be issued at some point tomorrow.
On Friday, the storm will come onshore the Pacific coast. This is usually when most models become locked in or more consistent with west coast data.
Welp, confidence continues to grow with the winter storm Sunday into Monday. Heavy snow will be possible here in central Indiana with icing issues in southern parts of the state.
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES are now out for central Indiana. Snow has been sticking to grassy areas this morning with Round 1. A heavier round of snow is expected 2 pm - 8 pm.
Most of our accumulation (1-2”) will happen with round 2, but we could also see mixing with rain. @wishtv.com
Say it ain't snow! On Thursday morning, spotty to scattered light snow showers are expected with round 1. A decent thump of heavier snow/mix should overcome warmer surface temps Thursday afternoon and evening.
1-2" of snow will be possible mainly with that 2nd round.
It's a little early to determine the exact track of moisture for late Wednesday into Thursday in Indiana. Another forecast question that needs to be answered is whether temps dip fast enough for spots to flip from rain to snow Thursday morning, as multiple models suggest.
Hi everyone! Excited to check out another social media platform.
