Power all gear off before transitioning between any country and the United States. Not asleep, not hibernating. Powered off so the contents of memory and your decrypted filesystem key aren't just sitting on the USB bus for anyone.

This is advice I give employees everywhere I have worked since 2012:

When crossing _any_ border, power down all devices. Not Sleep, Hibernate, nor Suspend— power-OFF.

Assume Evil Maid is looking through your gear while you're getting stamped. Assume compromise otherwise.

I really love that you can see and test #iCloud content cache in iOS and iPadOS now! it's in the details for the current active network. I use them at both houses, two virtual servers at IOW, one at PHL on a workstation. Makes OS updates and sync reconciliation a breeze, remarkably reliable lately 😂
