Wonder Girl vs Mary Marvel, a commission I just finished. I'm not sure who would win!
Wonder Girl vs Mary Marvel, a commission I just finished. I'm not sure who would win!
This latest commission was a request for Green Arrow and Black Canary. I decided to draw a classic battle pose. Mostly. I canβt stop myself from doing such things.
Newest commission. The request was for drawing Superman and Lois Lane together. The situation was left up to me. π
I'm excited to announce Asterisk Watches is producing a wristwatch based on my popular "Happiness is Fleeting" art! The floating arm is the minute hand, while the hour is displayed in a cloud. So fun! Only a couple of weeks left on Kickstarter.
Latest commission-- A take-off of the classic Batman vs. The Incredible Hulk treasury. Who wins?
I didn't spend much time on this, quickly pulling various things from the internet. But, I had to better envision the hat I dreamt about last night! (It had a generic alien, but I thought Marvin would look good.)
With so many classic characters falling into public domain lately, I'm surprised I haven't seen any used in advertising! I'll start to ball rolling--
The very first Batman comic I owned was The Brave and the Bold #68. Batman turns into βBat-Hulk.β Heβs suddenly bulky and has molten-hot hands! Iβve long held a fondness for him and had the urge to do a drawing. You can read a little more about it here- 13thdimension.com/bat-hulk-the...
π² Well, maybe--
I'm part of a Kickstarter campaign called ORPHAN WORKS. As the site says, βCartoonists so often have unpublished stories sitting in their files. Now, at last, you'll get to see them too!β To give you a taste, hereβs the first page of a story I contributed.

Sorry, I do not. But, if I remember correctly, I got it off ebay fairly cheap. As a supplement to a newspaper, I think there's lots of other "local" editions.
I received a commission request to combine several, letβs sayβ¦big-boned heroes into a group called βThe Rotunda.β The person requesting wanted them rushing out a door. He included, βI was thinking it might be insensitive, but since I am on the rotund side myself, itβs probably ok.β Fair enough!
I recently finished this recreation of Adventure Comics #60, featuring a bit of an alteration. It was commissioned as a gift and includes an inside joke of "3-H". I'd tell you what the joke means, but I'm not in on it either!
I wonder if DC has never asked me to draw a comic because I do things like this for MAD. From "Things Superheroes Hate About Their Jobs" in MAD #47. On sale NOW!
Here's a sneak peek at the poster I illustrated for the Golden State Pinball Festival, coming in May of 2026. If you're a pinball fan, you may recognize a couple of the classic machines that inspired the art. The festival looks like a fun time! goldenstatepinball.org
This commission was a gift to an indy comic creator from a friend. "A variant cover for the relaunch of The CAUSE #1 β part of a nostalgic indie series." Here's a link to the book. My alternate cover won't be available until a undetermined later date-- kbtoysverse.com/pages/cause
Based on Detective Comics #275--
Here's a wacky commission I recently finished-- A mash-up between Batman and Watchmen. Oh, with Dennis the menace thrown in for good measure! See comments for original cover.
Latest cover commission. If you recognize the characters, you're deep into comic book lore! The insides are by the talented team of John Holland, writer, Larry Guidry, artist, and Damian Felitte, colorist. I'll repost when it goes live on Kickstarter sometime next year--!
Newest commission. The character in the peacoat is the patron's own creation. He's traveling in a twisted version of Oz! (The character, not the patron. As far as I know--)
Oops. Just noticed I typed "Wonder Wonder" instead of " Wonder Woman." π
Just a simple overlay I created in Photoshop many years ago.
Here's the previous commission-
Sometimes I get oddball commissions. I recently drew a fake WONDER WONDER 80 PAGE GIANT. (See comments.) At the bottom was a space filler of "Wonder Girl Trips Over a Dog." She was mostly unseen. I then received a new request to fully draw that scene! Ha ha! You guys keep me on my toes. So to speak.
Omigosh! I dropped the ball! I drew this cover for a Kickstarter campaign. I had planned on sharing it when the book went live. It now only has A WEEK LEFT! I also contributed the pencils and inks to a two-page story. Please see comments and check it out!! www.kickstarter.com/projects/fin...
All shirts are on sale, October 8-12!
Had the urge to draw a parody for Halloween. Available here-- tee.pub/lic/AngelRobot
I'm a big Ramona Fradon fan. She drew some of the comics I cut my teeth on in the 60's. I recently stumbled across a Spider-Man sketch by her, a rarity I believe. Sadly, there's no date on it. She continued to draw well up into her 90's! I humbly inked and colored it for fun--
Just added a new design to my TeePublic page. I'm fairly certain I've seen "Halloweenie" used with Dachshund designs, but not so much with hot dogs. I'm sure they're out there, but having him rising from a bun, like a coffin, hit me as funny. tee.pub/lic/AngelRobot
TeePublic shirts are on sale until SUnday, 9/21! You should pick up a couple of items from my store. I need money to buy Halloween candy. If there's any money left over, I'll also get candy for trick-or-treaters. tee.pub/lic/AngelRobot
