a lot of orgs have basically decided they’d rather “survive” as fascist propaganda and live in a fascist country than go down swinging for a small chance to keep a semblance of democracy. and you should never give any of them a dime ever again

I do not like Liquid Glass. I wish you could disable the outline on every app icon, it is driving me crazy.
SwiftUI is janky AF. I am regretting not going UI Kit ☹️
Sending rejection emails gets me every time because I have been on the receiving end and know what it feels like. But not sending them is even worse. I try to be positive and highlight strengths, and keep the hope alive for the next right thing. Because there’s always a next right thing.
But did you go to the good Denny’s or the bad Denny’s? We all had them right?
For me, the good Denny’s was closer and where I got all of my grand slam hologram cards with the fam, the bad Denny’s had the waiter we bought weed from. In hindsight not sure my good/bad classifications were correct
When I was at Berklee many years ago, Livingston saw me eating alone and came over and ate with me and chatted. Good dude, even gave me his number in case I ever needed anything. I actually just found the napkin with it written on it today!
Paper towel math has gone off the rails
Someone is spoofing my number and calling all of New York City. The number of people who call back/text a random number who called them is absolutely insane. Going to have to turn my phone off 🙃
Sadly “do no evil” went out the window many years ago, replaced by “placate and profit”. The placating has shifted unfortunately in the last month but the willingness to appeal to whoever they perceive can help make more money in this moment regardless of actual principals lives on.
Felt it too, it was the one thing I did not miss about living in CA. Hopefully just a once in a lifetime event here 🤞
New England has earthquakes now? I thought trading earthquakes for harsh winters was a fair deal when I moved from the west coast to east coast but if that’s off the table I’ll have to reconsider ☹️
A bird's-eye view of a former Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp showing a wide dirt pathway flanked by parallel rows of barbed-wire fences. Groups of visitors walk along the path, surrounded by the remnants of brick structures and barracks, now reduced to foundations. Green grass contrasts with the somber history of the site, as the path leads toward a guard tower in the distance.
Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. It did not start from gas chambers.
This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.
Auschwitz took time.
I played a show tonight for the first time in a long while. Nice venue too!
Always green lol
Ah that makes sense. I have an app I’d like to transition from
Paid to free with IAP or subscription but was curious how that would work. Thanks for the insight!
That’s probably the right call. Curious how you are handling detecting previous users and giving them lifetime subs?
Nice, look forward to seeing what you find!
I’ve had to work on React Native projects for the past 6 months and I’m super pumped to be heading back to native. It’s a well intentioned yet frustrating framework and fails miserably in many regards, but hey, you can have crappy apps for iOS AND Android for less. Anyway, UIKit here I come!
I’ve been on a react native project the past couple of months and they are giving me anxiety when I leave them. It makes me feel like something else is expected or a linter will dock me. However, it makes for clean PRs because the previous line isn’t highlighted so I guess I have mixed feelings,
Totally, we saw it in the theater and I was pleasantly surprised!

I recently joined an ensemble and started playing sax again somewhat quietly in a concert music setting but today I was alone at home and I really let it rip for the first time in a decade and man it felt great. Really therapeutic. Going to need to do that daily for the next four years or so.
