In my first semester ever teaching in the spring of 2012, a student told me they came up with the mnemonic "Frogs and Tadpoles On the Pond" to help him remember the four lobes of the cerebral cortex (frontal, temporal, occipital, parietal). Every time I teach the brain, I pass along his mnemonic.

There's a friend of a cousin and a cousin of a friend of mine in one of my classes this semester. These are two different people.
