This really resonates. For the first time in my courses I am requiring no laptops/phones during class and physical copies of books. No resistance from students. They step up.
And why would you not want a diet of Fellini? Sounds pretty good to me.
This is excellent from @r-ida.bsky.social.
No Kings, Dayton, Ohio 2025.
Looks excellent. Congrats to @irpinaingiro.bsky.social @kevinkenny.bsky.social and all the authors involved!

A University of Dayton story of my ACHA interview with Martin Scorsese at St. Patrickβs Old Cathedral.
Very proud of the ACHA.
On January 3rd, 2025, as President of the American Catholic Historical Association, I interviewed Martin Scorsese and bestowed upon him the ACHA Distinguished Service Award, at St. Patrickβs Old Cathedral, his boyhood parish. A wonderful conversation with the most significant filmmaker of our time.
ok hi again. If you truly like movies, the existence of a long list of films that are reputed to be excellent with which you're unfamiliar should make you nothing but happy and curious. If it doesn't, maybe you don't like movies. And if you don't like movies, why are you griping about the Oscars? x
What better way to wrap up the annual meeting than with Warp Catholicism! Here are photos from last nights final off-site panel. #AHA25 #ACHA2025
Incredible work by these two fine scholars of Catholic Studies. They help make @achahistory.bsky.social an exciting place for Catholic history. Join the ACHA and get to know them!
The luncheon is also where ACHA Distinguished Awards were distributed and recognized. Pictured are Distinguished Scholar winner Paula Kane and Distinguished Teacher winner James Fisher. #ACHA2025

Great evening interviewing Martin Scorsese tonight at a special @achahistory.bsky.social event, held at St. Patrick's Old Cathedral. Listening to him share his reflections on what this place meant to him was remarkable.
Multitudes indeed! @monicalmercado.bsky.social and the rest of the Program Committee of the @achahistory.bsky.social have done a remarkable job putting together what promises to be an excellent conference in New York!
Our Fragile Juggernaut episode on labor in World War II is here, with the legendary @nelsonlichtenstein.bsky.social. What happens when you get full employment, price controls, mass migration to cities, and the integration of labor into the total war mobilization? podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/h...

Thanks!
Please add me. I'm not a sociologist but a cultural historian who works on religion, politics, and American popular culture. Thanks.
There is plenty of time to register for the 2025 ACHA Annual Meeting! After December 13, late fees will apply. Please note that all presenters must register for both the AHA and ACHA meetings. To register, go to achahistory.org/nyc2025/.
Likewise! Thanks.
Please add me to the list. Thanks!
Great. Thanks!
