I also use a 90D and Sigma 150-600, plus topaz denoise for post-processing, which tends to sharpen up images a lot.
I was standing probably 8 feet from it with my 600mm lens, and it just sat there and posed. Also super good lighting.

The U.S. Senate is currently considering a budget reconciliation bill that quietly includes language that could devastate our public lands. It would:
- Make over 250 million acres of public land eligible for sale
- Mandate the sale of at least 2 million acres of Forest Service and BLM land

‼️Take Bold Action for Birds NOW: We’re 400 signatures away from 10,000 calling on Congress to protect migratory birds.
Up to 1 billion birds die each year from preventable causes. The MBTA has protected them for 100+ years — but it’s at risk.

Digital illustration of a large tornado crossing a river between wooded mountains. UNPREDICTABLE: The Pennsylvania Tornadoes of 1985, Created and Musically Scored by Connor Sipe.
Tomorrow marks 40 years since the Pennsylvania/Ohio tornado outbreak on May 31, 1985 that far surpassed anything else in local history in both magnitude and destruction. If you haven't seen my short cinematic doc UNPREDICTABLE on YouTube, check it out here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=m47Q...
May 31st, 1985:
One of the worst outbreaks to hit the Northeast US and Canada spawned 44 tornadoes. 9 were violent, with the strongest being an F5 that devastated Niles, OH & Wheatland, PA. Many other towns in PA, OH, and southern ON were ruined. 88 people were killed.

For me, it’s cloudy every night I plan to do astro here. That’s just me though, everyone else seems to have better luck with weather.
Check out Cherry Springs SP in north-central PA. No guarantee of clear skies (usually always cloudy here in the armpit of the US)
