Introduction to AI
Jonathan Channon's Blog
I've written a new blog post on AI.
I reluctantly learnt some of the concepts and tooling in this space and highlight these for newcomers.
I felt I had to investigate rather than hate.
I also discuss the flaws of AI, the impact of AI and the future of AI

Small companies have tech people at “C level” that can make such decisions and understand why it’s necessary. My experience is that non-tech managers hardly understand why it’s important to support OSS. I think that the bigger the company and budget, the less likely mgmt is willing to support OSS.

Same thing here. Surface Pro X seems to do a full shutdown after some time of “standby”, then booting with surface logo takes a minute or so (at least feels like a minute). Maybe its not an official shutdown (terminology wise), but it feels like one. But the device is super snappy when its running!

Great work! Was this done by an analyzer or your brain?

Did you test VPN (e.g. via wireguard)? I cant get it working on my ARM devices, rest works great. Only true thing missing is the full (“classic”) outlook client

Geert van Horrik
A blog about software development
Ultimately I ended up with this. It's crazy that this seems to be the most "affordable" option...

A blog about software development
It's been a while since I wrote a blog post, but here is a new one!
The blog post is about managed code signing in 2024, where I try to find the most affordable way to do code signing:

I am investigating Azure Key Vault as HSM with a private purchased certificate and AzureSignCode. Should be less expensive (I hope) than the alternatives… Did you investigate that path?
