True, and JA has this great ability to find the humor (in the wider sense) in these bleak situations. And I think that's what I really appreciate about his books.

That's the part I really enjoyed. Especially Bayaz. It's one of the most realistic depictions of a powerful wizard that I've read.

It's been a while since I read the trilogy, but one thing that really stuck with me at the time was how well the barbarian trope was written (especially coming from a d&d background). Looking forward to the review of the 3rd book!

I really feel like by the end of the trilogy, he does something no one has ever done before. I'm half way through the second trilogy, and I find this to be even more true there.
