The iOS / iPadOS part of my Finance #SwiftUI project is now working great with the new navigation code I experimented with last week in my test project and I was able to clear away a bunch of complicated old code. Now maybe I can add the feature that prompted all this. 🤔

About a week ago I was happy to finally take full advantage of newer NavigationSplitView and NavigationStack as I'm cleaning up more of my #SwiftUI projects since upping min requirements. Today .navigationDestination(isPresented:) became a very useful solution to a problem. 🔨🙂
My top 2 favorites of #Melodifestivalen 2026 in the final are A★Teens and Greczula. Closely followed by Brandsta City Släckers, Cimberly, and Sanna Nielsen. I'll be cheering them all on from here in the US next weekend. Good luck ❤️🇸🇪🎶

The iOS / iPadOS part of my #SwiftUI test project is now fully cleaned up and the new feature is working (and fixed in macOS as well) so the search all results update properly if deleting or duplicating a record. Onward to doing this all over again in my Finance project. 🔨🙂
Just when I thought I was done with my #SwiftUI test project changes for iOS I had to go and ask myself: What happens in my search all results when I delete or duplicate a record? It doesn't refresh the search results (on macOS either) 😕. Guess I still have stuff to figure out. 🤔
Yeah, it is a bit odd I suppose. I mean, I don't understand Swedish. I don't seem to have any ancestors from Sweden. Yet I love the well crafted music from Sweden. It literally is the soundtrack of my life playing in the background in iTunes on shuffle and inspires my own instrumental music. 🤷🏻♂️❤️🇸🇪🎶

Wow Apple! That is a really long way to swipe right to see a leading action in a list in #iPadOS 26. I know you want to make it appear that the line extends under the liquid glass sidebar when I start to drag it but this seems a bit much. 😮
macOS SwiftUI "Cog" test project with updated sidebar code running and a new "Search All" feature that enables searching and/or filtering everything at once and grouping results found in each section.

Thanks. Cleanup of my test project is going well. It is funny how wanting to add one thing to my sidebar led to this (sidebar itself was working fine) but was a good time to get things completely moved over to take advantage of newer SwiftUI code I can now use (and it simplifies things greatly). 🙂
The macOS part of my #SwiftUI test project is back to functioning. Still a ton of stuff to clean up. This was a mix of a couple of things, but mostly my code was written for macOS 12+ originally (now macOS 14+) and I never took full advantage of newer navigationSplitView and navigationStack. 😮💨

Don't panic. I've fallen into a void with my #SwiftUI test project. Pieces pulled apart to figure something out. Nothing functioning. Code a mess. Reference ebooks open everywhere. Semi-helpful coding assistant in Xcode that may (or may not) be offering good advice. Somehow answer is likely 42? 🤔
Back to my #SwiftUI test project to experiment on something that I'm doing that doesn't seem quite right. The coding assistant has suggested an alternative that might be better. I need to think about this for a bit 🤔

Chart stuff in #SwiftUI is pretty fun. Nice to finally have the minimum requirements in my projects high enough to play with this. 😋🥧📈
It was a case of copying and pasting some mock data, being interrupted, coming back to it and not realizing I didn't change the hard-coded value to match another record. Things are now matching as they should in my #SwiftUI previews. Now that I solved that… back to coding this new feature. 🙂
Mock data is great for #SwiftUI previews. It is better still when the hard coded values I put into the mock data match up correctly. Just noticed a discrepancy in some totals and thought it was a bug in my code. Nope. 🙄

Ah, the rest of the world will catch up to me living an hour in the future. 😄 Seriously though, since I switched to EDT (or AST for those who hate DST 😛) year round a few years ago I've been so much happier and far more productive through the winter months. 🙂
