I've had tons of great interactions with CAIR over the years. It's insane to me that anyone would think of this organization as bad. They're just our neighbors. (more than that, really, they do so much wonderful work!)

I go here for my baking! So worth it! Every city should have a local mill. Ita really fun to know my bread is from my place.
This is what I came to the internet for today:

...You can't train a model on your laptop. But that's a nit.
But data collection & distribution of AI content is probably more of a concern for the left. It's complicated to target individuals for ad sales (or other things) and AI makes that job frighteningly easier.
At home I get value from ideation. I can prototype 3 dummy analyses: my data looks like __ generate a simulated set. Now prototype approaches X, Y, Z. In approach Y I noticed these things...
e.g. I don't know queuing theory. But I could use an agent to try it out. The ideation saves me time.
It really depends on your budget. At work I create several analytics personas and ask the agent to use those sub personas to complete jobs. The agent can scrub the codebase to understand the data gen process, write queries, and read results. Then I ideate with the AI to write reports. (but...$$$!)
Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. Itβs always a matter of will not resources.
Oof. This one hits hard. If you always liked Scott Pilgrim vs the World and couldn't figure out why the women in your life don't (or if you liked the movie at all)...probably worth a watch.

One of the weirdest things about working with AI right now is that my interviewing skills are probably most valuable.
I create a prompt to tell an AI what its job is & the jobs of all of its sub-agents. Then, I ask it a bunch of diagnostic questions to see whether it's good at the job.
Every time this comes up I wonder if we're ever going to shift the conversation to why women are avoiding them.
Today I announced an initial set of actions to protect city residents in the face of increased federal immigration enforcement activity. #thisisyourcity
Certainly appears moms with whistles won the Battle of Minneapolis.
Marie Gluesenkamp Perez: It's unacceptable to have another needless death in Minnesota, and it's unacceptable to have elected officials, candidates, and administration officials continue to throw gas on this fire, or tacitly encourage assaults on law enforcement and anyone else. The situation is un-American and Secretary Noem needs to step down.
Marie Gluesenkamp Perez was 1 of 7 Democrats who voted to funnel $10,000,000,000 more to ICE only a few days ago.
As an un-targeted american, now is the time to get to know your neighbors. You can't plan a watch, pick up groceries, take friends' kids to practice, volunteer childcare, communicate, organize if you don't know and see each other.
Be visible and observant so you can offer help when it's needed.
NEW: Washington's own Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez is one of just seven Democrats to join the Republicans and vote for a huge funding bill for DHS, giving ICE $10 billion. www.theburnerseattle.com/post/wa-rep-...
Do it!
The Insurrection Act has been called in the past. Usually to put down white supremacist or in response to white supremacists getting away with heinous crimes.
Timeline palet cleanse. This one was really fun.

Allowing private equity to own housing is insane. I'm so in favor of this policy.
I'm not for π, but this would be amazing. Having worked in the industry, I've seen how PE firms dictate the price of rent and strategically try to gain buying power. It's should be illegal.

Ban it! This is obvious.
Civil societies don't allow people to use tech to endanger and exploit people.
What's dangerous about AI is the companies/people who own and a lack of civil oversight. If those companies allow their tech to do illegal and harmful things banning is a very small penalty.
Hey! I did it. I made (??) my first android app! It's dumb. Just an e-reader that doesn't serve me ads
...and android studio isn't _that_ bad π

It's my first time trying to make an app. Is it just me or is android studio just a terrible place to spend your time?
We should have just believed women. About all the perpetrators. It's disgusting that we're saying "release the files" at all.
If the word of the victims wasn't enough, then there's probably no amount of evidence that will satisfy those with the power to do anything.
Having specific expertise will still be important, but working well in small collaborative units even moreso.
So you have a small group to prototype, and another small group to harden designs, another to scale, another to clean up AI slop, etc.
AI hottake for 2026: we'll start to see teams will get smaller. people will flex into fields where they know what the output should look like but not how to build it.
So the analyst who knows a bit of design can do the design work and collab with a team that actually has a designer after.
Turns out that Peru is a REALLY HARD charades assignment!
Can we get over the screaming girl at doctor gif? I don't know the whole story on that, but I'm a dad. Any time I see a screaming child it get's my fight or flight up.
Haha, funny, it's hard to pick out a pair of pants. Let's end the trend and find another gif.
