On the lower right hand side a woman in black stands at a lectern. To her left is a large screen with a blue background with the words "David Lynch: The Dreamer" surrounded by images from his films.

Still can't believe I got to intro Fire Walk with Me to a sold out crowd at the BFI and celebrate my main man, David Lynch.
A new episode awaits so I thought I'd better hurry up and post this from the previous one! What dark forces are lurking within cyberspace? @lindsayhallam.bsky.social and Liam with special guest @broganjmorris.bsky.social cautiously take a peep at our haunted motherboards. rss.com/podcasts/sci...
Screengrab from the BFI brochure advertising a screening of Twin Peaks Fire Walk with Me on Wednesday January 28 introduced by Lindsay Hallam
Wow Bob Wow! My stomach feels like it's filled with a team of bumblebees at the thought of introducing Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me at the BFI on Wednesday January 28. It's part of a whole season devoted to the work of my main man David Lynch and I'm beyond honoured to be a part of it.
Thank you to @liamdunn82.bsky.social and @lindsayhallam.bsky.social for having me on the latest episode of @scifrightspod.bsky.social to discuss Colossus: The Forbin Project and Pulse, as well as AI, nuclear panic in the movies and the horror of early digital: open.spotify.com/episode/3vwp...
New episode out now exploring the malevolent forces lurking in our computers and the dark (possibly haunted?) depths of cyberspace. Joining us is Brogan Morris, writer, journalist and programmer for Distorted Frame, to discuss Colossus: The Forbin Project and Pulse rss.com/podcasts/sci...
Tickets still available for our screening of Pulse at the Castle Cinema on Wednesday October 29 at 9pm, presented along with @distortedframe.bsky.social
It was a bloody delight getting interviewed about one of my all-time favourites, Re-Animator, and to rhapsodise about the ultimate Scream Queen @barbaracrampton.bsky.social
Thank you @geoffreybunting.bsky.social ! Glad this 80s kid was able to help out.

Whoa! You are the first I've come across who can even tolerate this film, let alone love it. Maybe I need to watch it again?
The bar at Genesis Cinema decked out for a Jaws Beach Party. There is an Amity Island sign, to the left is an inflatable shark, underneath the sign is a deck chair
Inside a cinema, on the screen on the leftis a poster for Jaws with a mouth of a shark pointing up, to the right on a red background are the words Jaws 50th Anniversary at Genesis, in front of the screen stands a woman in black pants and black jacket holding a microphone
I am holding a blue inflatable shark with the the top of my head peering over the top
Thanks to everyone who came to see Jaws at Genesis Cinema and listened to my intro. I talked about Spielberg's origins in New Hollywood of the 70s, how Jaws led to the rise of the blockbuster and other ways it impacted pop culture. The film on the big screen still plays like gangbusters.
Thanks so much to @travisjj.bsky.social for being our first guest and talking Terminator with us!
I think this film has made it impossible for me to ever go in a cave ever again.
Thanks! You should try to make it down sometime, even for just a day.
Woke up this morning with an awful cold, so have to miss the last day of Frightfest. Really gutted. Was so looking forward to seeing the new Adams family film Mother of Flies, Sick Puppy, and the new Alice Maio Mackay film Serpent's Skin. ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ
FrightFest Film #12: Redux Redux. A revenge thriller with a SF premise -what if you could kill the person who wronged you over and over again across the multiverse?- it manages to stay grounded, mostly due to its low tech aesthetic and the excellent perfs of the 2 female leads. The best of the fest.
FrightFest Film #11 : Bone Lake. A booking mixup sees two couples share the same rental, bringing temptations and trust issues to the surface. A twisty turny erotic thriller that erupts into carnage, this was much better than I was expecting.
FrightFest Film #10 - The Descent. First time seeing the film on the big screen in a new 4K restoration and it looked incredible. "That shot" still gets me every fucking time.
FrightFest Film #9: Jimmy & Stiggs A down on his luck filmmaker on a seemingly neverending bender is abducted by aliens & enlists his newly sober friend to help prepare in case they return. The whole film is a loud & unrelenting assault on the senses, drenched in neon lighting & awash in alien blood
FrightFest Film #7 The Red Mask. Really enjoyed this meta slasher. Manages to deconstruct horror tropes while also delivering the requisite thrills, taking welcome potshots at toxic horror fandom (sorry dudes, horror has always been woke!)
FrightFest Film #6 The Toxic Avenger. Sweet and so much fun. Keeps a lot of the spirit of the original. And nice to see director Macon Blair in a cameo sporting an Ain't Rights t-shirt (which I guess means there is a Toxie/Green Room shared universe?).
FrightFest Film #5 Transcending Dimensions. I can't even really begin to describe this film. Sensory, spiritual and totally mind-blowing on the big screen.
FrightFest Film #4 The Degenerate: The Life & Films of Andy Milligan. I went along to this to learn something and I did: Milligan was a singular filmmaker, fiercely determined but clearly hard to get along with, caught in a trap that allowed him to be prolific but never advance in budget or respect
FrightFest Film #3: Dog of God. This fucking RIPS. A Latvian medieval heavy metal pagan hallucinogenic folk horror fairy tale. Full of fluids and phalluses, witches and werewolves, accompanied by a throbbing soundtrack.
