Hi all. I drew something.
Hi all. I drew something.
This was fun. On to the next!

More Nomad Sculpt work. Iβm starting to feel more comfortable doing this kind of stuff. I want to do some more tweaks and then try posing this one.

My OC Amari sculpted in Nomad. I did this as a self training exercise. Now Iβm ready to pursue more knowledge so I can develop better practices and techniques. I eventually would like to be able to 3D print my characters.

Made this by following a tutorial by Dave Reed.
I made this after trying to do what the tutorial showed, without following it again.
Tried to refine my work into something that had some detail, clothing and colors.
Alternate angle
Shifted my focus to 3D sculpting in Nomad. Iβm a noob at it, though Iβve been trying off and on for years (in Blender, ZBrush, etc.) I think Iβm on the verge of taking it seriously now. Lots to learn of courseβ¦

Nafasi (Space) and Barafu (Ice), drawn in ink on 6x9" heavyweight paper. End of the series. Now to figure out what to do next...

Also, with a cheap dock, the Steam Deck can work as flexibly as a Switch. I often play my Steam Deck connected to a TV with a wired controller. The Switch 2 may be more powerful, but I find myself caring less about Nintendo's games these days. The versatility of the Deck is more than enough.
Prior to the Deck, all of my handheld experience was with Nintendo and Sony devices. I didn't try the ROG or anything else (because I've become a stickler for aligned analog sticks regardless of the device specs). I just know the Deck is enough for me. PC games, mods, emulation, it's all there.
Now we have my elemental OCs Giza (Dark), Radi (Lightning) and Anga (Sky) drawn on 6x9" heavyweight paper with ink, acrylic pens and some alcohol marker touches.

My Steam Deck (OG and OLED) have gotten 80+% of my gaming playtime since I got them. The OLED especially is magnificent as long as you don't try to play the most demanding games.
Recent sketches. Ink drawings of my OCs Mimea (Plants), Sumu (Poison), and Moto (Fire).
I really wish I had a real project in mind, but it's just not happening right now, so I'm just going to try to make a lot of work until something sparks.

Itβs here. store.steampowered.com/app/2084470/... It didnβt do well at all, but I was just proud of myself for managing to pull it off.
Second this. I can't code traditionally and have way too much difficulty learning it. I made my first game using Construct 3 and released it on Steam. Been working on moving over to Unreal Engine next.
I'm caught up in a commission so here's something from the archives to remind folks I'm still alive. I liked the design of this character I drew for my art book ages ago.

Ink drawing of my OC Dunia (Earth) on 6x9" heavyweight paper.
Life is busy, but I still make time to draw here and there.

Someone on deviantART praised the way I've been drawing hair lately and said it reminded them of this old illustration of mine. I removed it from most places online but I felt compelled to repost it. One of my livelier drawings from way back in 2017, when I was working on my art book.
Very alluring. I like it!
Thanks a bunch!
Took a digital sketch and decided to try cleaning it up traditionally. Some things may have been lost in translation, but I like how it turned out.

The original look. Probably a better drawing, but not quite what I wanted design-wise.
I actually did another update to this one. I ended up hating the bulky gauntlets and boots I gave her so I slimmed them down.
Working on updating the looks of the warrior women I sketched previously. I'm trying to get back to drawing the same character more than once. Just a WIP for now.
Yeah, as I was working on it, I was so bored with the thong approach. A female character doesnβt need to show every possible ounce of skin to be sexy.
The current approach to the character. Going for more of a sci-fi vibe.
Image of the design I was working on in DragonBones.
The base sketch I started with.
I was in the middle of building a DragonBones rig for one of my warrior women character designs when I suddenly lost interest in it. Got kind of bored with the character, figured I would redesign her to be a bit more interesting.

Thanks!
This looks incredible.
This was my original idea for the sprite but the client wanted both arms swaying.
