For any early modernists who are upset by the Compact piece, this is a great thread. And the point about Celenza’s “Lost Renaissance” is spot on. Some people saw changes to the field coming a mile away. Others got bitter
This administration understands that regulatory action can be effective. They are just deeply misguided in how they apply in the health sphere, and they refuse that premise with the tech sphere saying regulation is impossible. It is not. Your HHS sec shows what can be done. He’s just evil.

The CBA outlines a clear path to promotion to Teaching Associate Professor and eventually Teaching Professor. Our Architectural Studies program is thriving! We offer both a B.A. and B.S. in Arch. Studies. This position will teach mostly Arch Theory (no studio requirement).
Pitt has a unionized faculty, and the CBA governs contracts for positions like this. After an initial renewal in the second year, the position goes into “presumptive renewal” on a five-year time horizon.
