Currently posting about how the Kurds need a Shoah of their own.
Why are Mississippi schools getting better results for poor kids, at half the price? Iβve started talking with experts about this debate in New Jersey. Hereβs the perspective of Kirabo Jackson, a labor economist and professor who focuses on education finance: www.njspotlightnews.org/2026/03/qa-w...
Yesterday, Oregon's legislature voted to ban underfunded inclusionary zoning from the Portland metro area.
It's a big turnaround, and I hope a path forward for other states too.

re-nj.com/extending-a-... Is James Solomon content to just leave Silverman as "the good developer", or is he ready to make deals with real estate?
NEW: Mamdani's City Hall is discussing charging fees for currently free on-street parking β a policy change that would not only create a new revenue stream but also seize a once-in-a-generation opportunity to improve the streetscape. buff.ly/9C0Iq34
They've clearly broken the law. But the problem is, if you hit them too hard, it might endanger other hospital operations. But at minimum, the NJ AG needs to sue the hell out of the former CarePoint owners and claw back all of their stolen profits. www.njballot.com/post/jersey-...
Quite possibly, but also, she doesn't want to take the hit from the toll increase that definitely would be necessary for the true cost of the project.
It's quite clear that every single thing the previous admin said about the extension was a lie. There was never any justification to do it. It was solely about politics.
The downside - I'm sorry to my friends - what killed this was clearly the operating engineers going yolo.
No idea, but she's terrible in many other ways.

Tittel retired a few years ago.
I'm not a Newsom fan, but it looks like his comments weren't accurately reported.
You might remember me from Twitter. My dad started a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to cover the cost of my sister Ellie's needed medical care.

New Jersey's "REAL" building regulations, passed on Jan 20, require all new buildings in affected areas to be lifted by 5-ft. Elected officials at the Jersey Shore say it will create "no-build zones" and NJ Senate President Nic Scutari appears to agree... www.nj.com/ocean/2026/0...
Mall redevelopment in Raritan NJ: "An ordinance that would have paved the way for the project was rejected twice by the Raritan Borough Council amid resident concerns over density, traffic and whether the property should remain fully commercial." www.nj.com/realestate-n...
The one acceptable use case for Grok is to create images of Watto laying tefillin.
Ignore whining of lefty transit anarchists. Harden entries leading to collecting more farebox revenue for system fiscal solvency AND reducing system costs for maintenance & repair from vandalism. Bonus: Increase Clipper card applications. Grown-ass transit policies. www.sfgate.com/local/articl...

Morrisville just dropped. It's over, no more path. er.ncsbe.gov/contest_deta...
Affordable housing is a much more effective use of a PILOT/tax abatement than a satellite of a foreign museum. Glad to see KRE and the administration collaborate on a win-win for the developer and the city.
Thing is, I don't really believe that Israel forced the US's hand here, no matter what Rubio may say. The US just doesn't take actions it does not want to take. What is actually happening here is much darker - Rubio is using Israel as a scapegoat to avoid taking US responsibility for the war.
She's doing well in the parts in so far, but my guess is not enough to win overall.
A bunch of Wake just dropped. However, these are Apex precincts that she did well in. Basically Morrisville left, Allam would need to run the table. er.ncsbe.gov/contest_deta...
Foushee just squeezed some more margin out of Durham, gives her a tiny bit of breathing room. Morrisville is apparently the home of Lenovo, so those are the best Allam precincts remaining.
What's out in Wake: er.ncsbe.gov/contest_deta... - looks like Allam doing well in Morrisville, Foushee in Apex.
Wake right now is Allam+1 with 61% in. I made a guess that it ends up Allam+4 - if turnout holds steady, that's a Foushee win by 500. However, Foushee will probably squeeze more votes out of Chatham and the mail vote.
I'd still lean Foushee but it's very close.
Allam just got a monster drop. Huge difference in 2% margin with 10% left to 1% margin with 10% left.
Durham e-day just came in. Big for Allam, but, she basically needs to run the table in the last 10% of the vote like Mejia did. Basically running out of runway.
