So grateful to the Trust CPD Leaders' Forum, @samgibbs.bsky.social and @missgoodyear.bsky.social for sharing my blog post all about the importance of context!

The forum is a wonderful space for learning and collaboration!
What does the curriculum review mean for the sector? @missgoodyear.bsky.social and @samgibbs.bsky.social set out six points for schools to consider as they plan to implement the review's recommendations
Looking forward to speaking with my partner-in-crime @missgoodyear.bsky.social at the @teacherdevtrust.bsky.social conference.
Brilliant from @missgoodyear.bsky.social and @samgibbs.bsky.social

Congratulations to all from our sector receiving honours. It is great to see any and all efforts to restore our profession to a respected and valued pillar in both individual children and families lives but also the significant contribution to our wider collective benefit. ππ
Errrr yes. Will make sure I'm not wearing baby sick stained clothes that day though... π€£
Exactly this. It's like people have forgotten how to recognise a good thing and a positive change. I've now resorted to full-on debates with people about their irrelevant links on Facebook. Fight the good fight and all of that...
I grew up on free school meals, I know the difference they can make.
So Iβm deeply proud that our Labour Government is taking this decisive step to turn the tide on child poverty β it is our moral mission.

A big (and very welcome) announcement from government today on free school meal eligibilty, widening it to all children on families eligible for UC.
A quick thread on these changes, and the remaining challenges π§΅

My favourite flower and that smell..! Still got some seeds waiting but fear it's too late now. Gorgeous colours!
In case you didnβt know, @samgibbs.bsky.social, @kathrynmorgan.bsky.social and Tracy Goodyear are absolute legends! For every reason!

Really pleased to read about this appointment. This really is a brilliant move to bring his sector-level expertise to the heart of policy-making. He will give this role the deep, critical thought that our schools' challenges deserve. Fantastic!

Fabulous to see @trustcpdleads.bsky.social getting a mention from @samgibbs.bsky.social in the TES this morning. Couldn't agree more and really sings to what we are aiming for in our free Forum-too much public money wasted on short-term, shiny fixes-we have to build capacity from within. Great job!
Loyalty should never come at the expense of integrity.
Anyone who asks you to violate your values doesnβt deserve your allegiance. Respecting your boundaries is a foundation of trust.
The people worthy of commitment expect you to stand by your principles, not conform to theirs.
This is such a thoughtful piece from @andrew-oneill.bsky.social , which emphasises the need to also develop the capacity of leaders in Trusts, LAs and schools to be astute in noticing and seeing the interdependence of the "quiet failures". Involved in school improvement? Read this π

"Teachers are the heart, they are the soul of every school. That was true 500 years ago. Itβll be true in 500 more.
Education is a deeply human gift, given by one generation to the next."
This is so refreshing :sensitive plans for thoughtful tech implementation with all the right caveats considered.

Loved this @womened.bsky.social panel session at The Next Decade conference yesterday. Perfect words from my friend @missgoodyear.bsky.social - βin the absence of a system, take it upon yourself to do the workβ.
Mother's Day is a big day in our house and it's been a wholesome and beautiful one with our two boys. Feeling fortunate and very very lucky.
Really important to feed in to this - NPQs have brought welcome equity and a framework we can build on, but they need far greater contextualisation and a broader research base.
Over Β£600m to train up to 60,000 more engineers, brickies, sparkies, and chippies.
Homegrown skills to deliver our Plan for Change and build 1.5 million homes for families across the country.
Thatβs the difference Labour in power makes.
