Don't mind me, I'll just be over here rewatching FarScape again.

It's easy.

I want a weekly podcast where Simon and Trevor just talk about movies.
I don't think flip flopping is very smart. Pick a strategy and commit to it.
If they announce Saros is not coming to PC, I'll buy it on PS5. If they leave me guessing if it'll hit PC or not, I might just wait until it does.
I don't think it's realistic for a new studio make the next Fortnite.
But a new studio can make the next Lethal Company, Phasmophobia, Peak, Repo, Among Us etc.
That's still not *easy*, but you won't burn millions and millions and millions making a game that is shut down in a matter of weeks.
Armchair executive I know but I can't fathom how throwing the kind of money likely thrown at Highguard as a new IP and new studio was a decision anyone could make.
There are dozens of successful new IP multiplayer games from the last few years. They all started small and grew out.
Jim Carrey hasn't been cloned.
Andy Kaufman finally returned.
But widesceen? I'm open to it. Framerate boost? Not opposed to it, but it's not really necessary.
Some kind of CRT filter options? Would make sense.
I'm very curious what the different approaches might be best for anyone attempting a modern decomp port. So much of that game's appeal is tied to a very specific aesthetic. I wouldn't want to just max out the resolution and framerate, or "fix" all the texture warping.
Silent Hill is 99.74% decompiled. This is one of the most rapid decomps I've seen. It was at like 86% at the start of the year, under 25% 6 months ago, and only started about a year ago.
When Kier Starmer says "we all remember the mistakes of Iraq." He means in a "Those who can remember the past are well equipped to repeat it" kinda way.
For most users I'd probably say the cheaper of the two is very capable and more than enough. 5080 is well into "nice to have" category, not essential. Short of the most demanding games at very high resolution and framerate, the 5070 will be plenty. Same applies to the other specs.
Excited for the trailer!
Probably helps that it seems it was a relatively amicable break. I get the impression Amazon is somewhat backing out of publishing games beyond owned studios/IP.
I would hope the original contract allowed Amazon to terminate without leaving Maverick in a seriously difficult financial situation.
Really fascinating to hear a discussion like this about a developer and publisher parting ways, from the developer side. Don't think I've ever heard a conversation dealing with this topic shared so publicly and frankly before.
My first question is why did no one accuse this (Gujarati?) campaign song of being "sectarian"? But my second question is why is it such a banger?

Starmer: If you don't like Labour changes leave Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has said Labour has changed permanently under his leadership. He said "if you don't like that, if you don't like the changes that we've made, I say the door is open, and you can leave".
What a result. Big love to Gorton and Denton. Can't remember the last time I felt this positive about UK politics.
Metacritic has sent a reminder email to all games site editors/publishers which is pretty strong, and great:
I'm gonna go with: PRs should not be sending review code to VideoGamer, marketing should not be quoting their current reviews anywhere, and the likes of Metacritic and Opencritic should ban them immediately.
This is what is commonly referred to as a smoking gun
Why not both?

I wonder, does anyone just make a dozen Steam pages as "pitches" and actually make the game for whichever sees the most traction?
Planning to watch that next after loving this, actually.
Wow Common Side Effects is incredible. Only just got around to watching it, but it's basically a masterpiece. Never seen animation style quite like that, and it's a super compelling story filled with interesting characters.
When is season 2?

Steam is winning the war though.
