Our afternoon session at the 34th National Equine Forum begins with “Artificial Intelligence: The Future Is Here.”
Opening the discussion, Dr Liz Cresswell explores how AI could help revolutionise positive animal welfare, and what emerging technologies may mean for the future of equine care.
Our final speaker before lunch was Dr Philip Ivens MRCVS, discussing “AMR in 2026 – are we winning or losing?” With the risk of returning to a pre-antibiotic era, he highlighted the need for better diagnostics, responsible antimicrobial use, and collaboration through initiatives like REIN in AMR.
Continuing our session “On the Brink: Equine Health Conditions We Cannot Ignore” at the 34th National Equine Forum, Professor Jane Hodgkinson addresses anthelmintic resistance and the growing challenge of maintaining effective worm control in horses.
