I have been toiling away on a book project for the past year or so and am close to finishing it at last. Here is an early panel from this work in progress. A scene-setter and mood generator, you might say.

Today I was picking up around the house and absent-mindedly put a 12-volt battery and a quarter in the same pocket. A minute later my pocket was on fire and I got a nice little burn. Beware! Learn from my mistake.

Among the many casualties of the Eaton fire is the Zorthian Ranch in Altadena founded by artist Jirayr Zorthian. Below, sections of his mural Phantasmagoria of Military Intelligence Training, produced during WWII and placed in The Pentagon. Ah, welladay.
