See you at #GDC2026 !
Looks like the Meta Lab store had the Meta Ray-Ban Displays, and I am taking them home, specifically excited to try the latest updates and use them for DAT development!

On my way to the βοΈ San Francisco GDC 2026, Iβm excited to meet many of you! If youβre in the area and would like to chat, feel free to DM me, and Iβll schedule some time for us.
Additionally, I want to identify areas where the tools are not working well. This is quite similar to how I create videos on YouTube. It might simply be that Iβm so used to this process after nearly 1000 videos. π
Every time I deliver a talk at a major conference, itβs not just about theory. Thereβs nothing wrong with that, but to me, building and utilizing the tools is incredibly important. This is because I need to understand how the tools function and how they can help developers.
Iβve scheduled a new appointment at the Meta Lab in San Francisco to finally get my new Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses.
Unfortunately, my previous pair was stolen during a trip. However, with all the latest updates, I genuinely need a pair, not just as a consumer, but also for some development work.
Working on a new app idea with wearables tonight, very excited to play with DAT and the crazy thing is I know I will have a full product build with AI in a few hours.
It is insane how fast we can move with AI today. Honestly, very proud of what we built in just a few hours!
About a month ago, I was asked if I wanted to give a talk about AI & agentic workflows. Honestly, I wasnβt entirely familiar with Claude or MCPs. Fast forward to today, and we just finished our GDC Deck, including not just slides but also a game that I literally built in one day.
But even with the scary aspects of thinking I was going to break or scratch the frame, the results are so good! Very happy customer! π
My recommendation is to get them from the factory, unless you are brave like me and try to do this yourself. So far, so good, but the installation was not very straightforward, and it was scary to be honest.
π Hereβs my honest review of βVR Waveβthe company that provided me with my prescription lenses. To be clear, I didnβt initially order prescription lenses. I simply searched for a company and stumbled upon this one.
π’ BIG NEWS! πΆοΈ
Weβre launching GOAT and 2048 on Meta Ray-Ban Displays, ambient games for the in-between moments. No controllers. No friction. Just intuitive EMG + gestures, layered into your day.
This is the future of play: human, lightweight, and present!

Life teaches you so many lessons, and having it all at once will never feel as good as working hard towards a much bigger goal.
I tell them to work hard and to start from the bottom is the best way to appreciate the wins they will have in life. Every job I had, whether it was cleaning bathrooms (my first job as a janitor) or working as a full-stack engineer at an XR / Robotic simulation company, needs to be taken seriously.
It really hits different when you are invited to a meeting at Meta with a variety of VPs and directors.
I still feel like that kid who came to the US barely speaking English, and just knowing how much opportunities my own kids have in this country really excites me.
AI is indeed an extension of us, and it shouldnβt take over completely if you donβt want it to.
Today, I worry about losing that, but to avoid those thoughts, we need to remember that AI is not a replacement. AI is an assistant. We can still re-structure the generated code, we can still write it from scratch, and have a co-pilot help with sections.
I remember when I started as a junior developer how much admiration I had for senior devs who had memorized exactly how to write complex systems from the ground up. They could code non-stop without having to do much research, mainly due to their prior experience.
The stuff I was able to create in just a few hours blew me away. Now, all I want to do is build. Knowing how to code and having an incredibly powerful LLM has changed everything for me.
Today, I did the exact same thing & lost track of time. I was playing with Unity AI Gateway (Beta), Meta MCP Extensions, and Claude Code.
I used to pull all-nighters constantly coding and prototyping games. I remember going to bed at 3-4 AM and waking up to my day job at 7 AM. I was much younger when I did this consistently.
π We remain the largest investor in VR, and weβre building both platforms to support the long term success of our creator and developer communities.
π Read the full details in Samantha Ryanβs post: developers.meta.com/horizon/blog...
Starting in 2026, VR and Worlds will operate as two distinct platforms:
- VR is focused on third-party developers, with the Meta Horizon Store restructured around apps and games instead of Worlds.
- Worlds is going mobile-first, with dedicated tools to build for mobile.
π£ Today Iβm excited to share an IMPORTANT update on where weβre headed with VR & Worlds.
Over the past year, weβve listened to feedback from developers and creators. One thing was clear: both communities needed more focus and clearer direction.

Hello Everyone!ππ
I work fully remote in XR, so Iβm usually indoors building prototypes. Iβve been testing the Oakley Meta Vanguard AI Glasses for a few weeks, and theyβve been surprisingly interesting. Excited to share why.

If youβre feeling stuck and canβt seem to push content out, think about the areas youβre truly passionate about. The motivation will happen organically, and your audience will appreciate it even more.
I love creating videos about tech Iβm genuinely interested in, not videos made just to generate views. Honestly, thatβs what makes content creation such a rewarding experience.
Now Iβm curious π‘ is this the kind of wearable you could see fitting into your running, biking, snowboarding, or other routines?
βΉοΈ I go over the reasons why I decided to buy these, and I show a variety of demos while using them during my new running routine. I also picked up the Garmin Forerunner 165, which integrates really well with Meta AI.
