The burden of evidence exists on the claimant; if you believe AI is conscious, then the burden of proof lies with you.

Otherwise you're playing silly buggers with 'PROVE MY INVISIBLE UNICORN IS NOT REAL'

Tweet from Abbas Araghchi reads: The U.S. committed a blatant and desperate crime by attacking a freshwater desalination plant on Qeshm Island. Water supply in 30 villages has been impacted.

Attacking Iran's infrastructure is a dangerous move with grave consequences. The U.S. set this precedent, not Iran.

US-Israeli targets include schools, health care infrastructure, Tehran’s airport, and now, if what Iran’s foreign minister says is accurate, a desalination plant providing water to 30 villages.

What a precedent to set, hitting desalination plants around the Gulf which so heavily relies on them.

AI models have caused multiple deaths, what do we do with people that do that

Somehow I doubt they'll keep claiming their AI is conscious when we start talking about the death penalty for AI models that cause deaths

i don't care about any arguments against this. right now the sum total of my political advocacy is: crush the Republicans and make them pay. i don't care what comes after because until we do that nothing better is possible.

Now that I may be doing my first ever official blog interview of an author, I’m thinking of making it a regular thing, if any friends have books they want to promote and have time to answer some questions for a lil’ ol’ blog.

I swear every time I go the east coast I have to deal with this bullshit impenetrable wall of thunderstorms. Physically, the planes can fly through them, but the pilots always insist on spending 3 hours flying around them because turbulence makes people sad 😭

panel one:
three standing figures. from left to right, a guy wearing a necktie looking at his phone, an angry MAGA guy yelling FUCK YOUR FUCKIN POST FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU, and a rando just standing there like an NPC.

panel three:
as our man continues doom-scrolling, a sly grin on his face, the rando on the right puts on a punch-me face and snarls: "Typical lefty, blocking everyone who disagrees with-"

Black and white drawing of an axe dtuck into a tree-stump and more stumps and trees in the background. The text reads: "'The forest was shrinking but the trees kept voting for the axe, for the axe was clever and convinced the trees that because his handle was made of wood he was one of them.' - Turkish proverb"

I think this perfectly sums up the argument against "Vote Blue no matter who." And anyone saying that we should accept the inevitability of a Newsom nomination in early 2026 deserves to be defenstrated through The Overton Window.

More than that even. Not just food for the kids. We could have had healthcare and social security programs for everyone of all ages. Environmental restorations. Social programs for the impoverished and homeless. Housing. So much.

Unquestionably yes. Hospitals do not require data centers to provide care. They require data centers to provide paperwork.
