Is there anything more pathetic than those who seek out positions of leadership and power and then when a moment comes for them to exercise the thing they long sought recoil for fear of losing their power? That it should fall to ordinary citizens to preserve the power of our leaders is backwards

It’s obviously true that women have been, and still are, discriminated against. But I think it’s equally true that boys and young men are finding it hard to find their way in a systematic manner that deserves serious study and action.

Taking a hard look at what we can do in our education system to make sure that boys are able learn and grow into productive and happy adults for one. I am no expert. But I am a parent of a boy and a girl and I see how much boys seem to be struggling

It seems to me we can acknowledge historical sexism and inequity and still address what is a real concern with young men and boys. Acting like the solution to these issues is to belittle the plight of young men who are in no way responsible for that inequality strikes me as shortsighted m
