Some folks treated me like a naive child for believing we had the money to cancel a portion of student loan debt

This is a Nazi move. Stripping people of rights, invalidating their IDs, setting them up for criminalization and imprisonment.
If you don't support trans rights, you support fascism.
The State of the Union: the president is a corrupt demented sex criminal who tried to overthrow the constitution.
Why do I have to pretend that I'm going to print something in order to save it as a PDF. Why do I have to engage in a little ruse.
This whole fight over transgender stuff happening on X is so weird to me. The most notable thing about trans issues in the last 5 years has been the enormous, coordinated anti-trans activism campaign across the right, aided by moral cowards in the center.
But that campaign is *never mentioned*.
There are some Dems who are uneasy about "trans issues" and would like to "find a compromise" with MAGA but:
1) there is no compromise with this rhetoric
2) they'd never compromise anyway
3) when you try to do that, all it does is show voters who lean your way that you are weak and unprincipled.
From the Chair of DA, Martha McDevitt-Pugh: “The “SAVE America Act” is a rebranded version of the anti-voter SAVE Act, and its new name should not fool anyone. It retains the most extreme provisions of the original proposal and goes even further.”

this is a level of complicity that had not occurred to me
Just watched Bad Bunny’s halftime show and realized I can’t not buy a ticket to one of his shows here in Madrid.
See everyone at the first Pan-American Pride in Guadalajara, Mexico, next year!

We are in a small community outside Minneapolis and a child arrived to an empty house on Friday. No parents, ice kidnapped them and just leave children to wander alone after school
This is a perfect example of "I saw a thing that I could do and I started doing it"
“Renee and I chose kindness. We believed that every life deserves the same care, treatment, and dignity, no matter who they are or what they look like... That shouldn’t be radical. If it is, then I want Renee and our family to be known for how we practiced radical kindness every day.”
reading the US State Department travel advisories to Burma and struck by how many of the factors cited in the "Do Not Travel" rating apply to Minnesota, USA
ohhh ‘democracy dies in darkness’ was aspirational
'measles outbreak at the child prison' seems entirely avoidable, it's really the kind of thing that only happens if you do several unthinkably evil things on purpose all at once
A reminder Anne Frank died from disease in a concentration camp. Because the conditions were so bad that many would get sick and die.
That is also part of the Holocaust, it wasn’t just gas chambers and bullets.
the median American voter:
I forgot you knew Chipotle Europe guy. Still waiting in Madrid…
Tweet from Rabbi Yehuda Kaploun: "Ignorance like this cheapens the horror of the Holocaust. Anne Frank was in Amsterdam legally and abided by Dutch law. She was hauled off to a death camp because of her race and religion. Her story has nothing to do with the illegal immigration, fraud, and lawlessness plaguing Minnesota today. Our brave law enforcement should be commended, not tarred with this historically illiterate and antisemitic comparison."
To avoid the possibility Holocaust remembrance might lead to empathy for migrants, Trump's antisemitism envoy claims Anne Frank "was in Amsterdam legally."
In reality, Margot Frank received a summons to go to a labor camp on July 5, 1942. After ignoring this call, they were in Amsterdam illegally.
Gross, I didn’t know I shared a last name with someone carrying out the attacks on our cities. Given the executions he’s overseen, my lord.
Nothing life or death in the end, I shouldn’t let it affect me so much. But thank you!
National media should really be covering the fact thay every major school, museum, and arts institution in the Twin Cities, and hundreds of local businesses are closed tomorrow to protest federal occupation.
Nothing like this at this scale has happened anywhere in America anytime in living memory.
The moral arc of the universe appears to be giving us the middle finger. bsky.app/profile/seth...
The “Smith” headline is a choice when one of the state’s U.S. senators is named Tina Smith (@smith.senate.gov) and she is not to whom the article is referring.
I understand she largely agrees with the rule of law but the point stands.
ICE is underwater with noncollege whites, god damn
They like cops so much that all we’re getting is cops. No roads, no bridges, no school funding, no culture money, just a bouquet of different types of cops
True that.
Proceed but also you do care.
