I must admit, occasionally I think "yes, I will spend $20 on this little outfit for my little guy who runs around"

Or, as one of my friends likes to say,
I started a new job on monday and it's great but boy is it heavy
I know I've had a long week (Chris, it's only wednesday) because I would have sworn I saw this picture a month ago and yet,
$840,000,000,000 a year in military spending to bomb some painted drop shadows. Artists always winπͺπͺπͺ
Aaaaaaahhhhh I love this!

Five weeks goddammit I expected like. Two. But yeah I guess it's basically just gonna be ramping up like crazy from NOW till August, fug
White boys love to play games with levels like waste management, waste processing, sludge facility, industrial processing, gun base, security facility, waste processing 2, gun industrial facility (zombie infestation)
Yeah, it's always been the case that just because someone in power is Shitty, you can't just bomb them out of nowhere, especially if you were IN NEGOTIATIONS WITH THEM when you do it
Kevin finally has a release date!!
April 20th! 4/20 baby! smoke'em if you got'em!
(I did some of the animation in the big group shot at the end of the opening sequence!)
absolutely no way i wasnβt going to import this from reels
As with so many other utterly irrational policy choices that exist under capitalism, we could invest a bunch of money up front and then reap HUGE returns in a healthier and more productive workforce.
Just like how we keep investing billions in pipelines even though they'll never pay for themselves.
WE COULD DO THIS. WE'VE BEEN ABLE TO DO THIS FOR DECADES.
We could basically end the spread of airborne disease in indoor spaces and don't do it because the rich fuckheads in power can't see past their own noses
Hmmm!! Maybe! I just got back to full employment today and I'm not sure how much time I'd have for something like this but I'd love to learn more! Get at me :)
I've died so many times in this game but it's not too hard to jump back in and get a bunch of decent stuff again. If anything, it teaches me to not hold on to attachments, because whatever it is I have will simply vanish one day. Marathon will help me escape Samsara
Mark Carney, on a call with the soldiers on exchange: "and you say these targets will include schools? Perfect, okay. You've got the greenlight."
Absurd that our foreign minister is applauding the attacks on Iran while simultaneously condemning the retaliation. They're the same picture!!
It's march first and the birds are CHIRPIN

Lol i forgot the whole Act 2 curveball that makes the story even more cyberpunk 2077-ish. And Johnny Mnemonic-ish.
Anyway i like this movie even though it gets really extra silly in the back half.
also watching this after playing cyberpunk 2077 i can see a lot of influences in that game (i mean, it's all in the same genre anyway, but there's a similar vibe in certain sequences)
the main thing i remembered about this movie is the first half is dope as hell and something i like about it is that it has the completely over-the-top apocalyptic urban decay that used to be really common in 80s sci-fi
also, man. blomkamp's team sure can make a robot move like a person.
I'm rewatching Elysium (2013) inspired by the stylish robot dystopia in Marathon and was in the mood for some Blomkamp vfx when all of a sudden a young Cassian Andor appears
(I didn't know Diego Luna was also in this movie)
And, for an instant, she stared directly into those soft blue eyes and knew, with an instinctively mammalian certainty, that the exceedingly rich were no longer even remotely human.
ηιͺ Office of the Prime Minister Cabinet du Premier Ministre Statement by Prime Minister Carney and Minister Anand on the situation in the Middle East "The Canadian government is closely following Iran-related hostilities throughout the Middle East and urges all Canadians in Iran to shelter in place. Canadians in the wider region should follow local advice and take all necessary precautions. Canada's position remains clear: the Islamic Republic of Iran is the principal source of instability and terror throughout the Middle East, has one of the world's worst human rights records, and must never be allowed to obtain or develop nuclear weapons. Canada and our international partners have consistently called upon the Iranian regime to end its nuclear program, including at the 2025 G7 Leaders' Summit in Kananaskis and with the United Nations' reimposition of sanctions in September. Despite diplomatic efforts, Iran has neither fully dismantled its nuclear program, halted all enrichment activities, nor ended its support for regional terrorist proxy groups. Canada stands with the Iranian people in their long and courageous struggle against Iran's oppressive regime. Canada has listed the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist entity, and has sanctioned 256 Iranian entities and 222 individuals in response to the regime's repression and its violence both against its own people, and persistently, beyond its borders. Canada reaffirms Israel's right to defend itself and to ensure the security of its people. Canada supports the United States acting to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon and to prevent its regime from further threatening international peace and security. The Canadian government urges the protection of all civilians in this conflict. We will take all possible measures to protect our nationals and Canadian diplomatic missions throughout the region." Well. For those of us wondering if heβd walk the walk of the Davos speech, this is a pretty big answer.
Nope.
Underrated just how much the US and Israel have been desecrating the very idea of diplomatic engagement by doing these obvious bait and switches.
This is the third time now that negotiations were used as cover to prepare for a war already decided. The lesson is to never speak to the US.

This game is cool. Death is punishing but it feels -great- when you escape/win because of that. I don't love the idea of ruining another player's day but everyone signed up to play the same game, you get over it pretty quick
This might just be a feature universal to extraction shooters though, idk
