I would argue that AI in it's current form is a container of knowledge like a book, that plays on our passions to appear to be more than it is. A container of information that we cannot interact with in such a way that it can make us "feel" which we enjoy as souls with bodies that love all material.
They are limited to the parameters set by their authors.
They often mimic having passions or limitations but this is an illusion (you should still be nice to AI).
So as a material intelligence with no passions, it seems it has no "soul" as we could discribe it, it cannot turn to the good on its own
In the hierarchy of the generation of the cosmos which we all find ourselves where would AI fit best?
AI cannot not exist without being in the material world, it needs hardware, code, storage etc to exist.
It also is intelligence and has no passions, meaning AI is not capable of want or desire,
I was thinking about AI, specifically in the lens of a neo-platonic philosopher, which I try to have a toe in.
While I of course cannot speak for the dead, and I certainly am not an expert on the philosophy but I will do my best.
