Launched X fairly recently. I’d like to have more interaction on here at some point, but I also don’t want to end up in a potential swamp of shit and bigotry like Twitter became. I am at a point where I follow things like rare records just now. I’d like to branch out in to politics etc… but… y’know.
I’ve been saying exactly this to people I know for a while. I think it goes in cycles. A century or so is all it takes for even the worst and most evil things to return and propagate.
Anyone else feel helpless about this? An actual fascist despot ruling America and actively aiming to dissolve NATO/grab an empire. ICE/Brown shirts on the streets of US cities, assaulting and abusing people on racial grounds… invasions of sovereign countries for profit and theft of resources.
We aren’t even a century on from the third reich.
Every single person who voted for that Nazi piece of human excrement, who wore or wears those ridiculous slogan adorned hats and tee shirts, who say things like “we just wanted/needed a change”, are all complicit in where we now find ourselves.
