Driving home Tuesday from Boulder, and I figured I had fifteen minutes of sunlight left at Coot Lake! Theo thought we should be looping faster and I was loving "Golden Hour!
I work remotely most of the time, then get scheduled for a day or two at HQ. I’m not a fan of the one-way, one-hour commute, so I add an incentive: I swing by Uncle Henry’s Hong Kong BBQ. It adds an extra 20 minutes to my commute when heading home, but it’s so worth it!

I moved to Boulder in 1988, and my first house was on 32nd near Baseline. The Dark Horse was within easy walking distance, and we often found ourselves there on any given night. So many great memories, especially in my late 20s and early 30s.

Another 64°F day today! I had a good lunch-break walk with Theo and headed straight to Coot Lake after logging off.
Normally, Coot Lake is frozen solid this time of year, but not now. Nearly impossible to keep Theo🐶 out of the water!
Here in Boulder, Colorado, it hit 64°F. It was so nice, I logged out a little early to get some quality lake time with Theo.
I agree 😭 This felt like a punch in the stomach when I read the news. Passing at 71 is too young for such a wonderful person and actress. I felt the same when Robin Williams passed, a very sad day.
My friend that lives in China comes to the states every summer to visit her adult son and friends here in Colorado. She messaged me to say she’s not coming this summer, “the United States is too dangerous.”

Got home in time to see the end of the Broncos and Chiefs game, eat some dinner, then straight to bed. Thankful for my Colorado sunrise, making my own breakfast, and then of course, Theo ❤️🐶
Arrived at London Heathrow in time for breakfast! A long enough layover to actually enjoy a cup of coffee and do a little shopping.

Alfama, Lisbon and night and our walk during the day. Finishing up a long-haul vacation there always a dread knowing that we will get our Bolt and head to the airport at 4 AM. Some 4700 miles and little sleep lies ahead.
Back in Lisbon I rented a small but comfortable apartment in Alfama. Stairs that were more like a ladder, and a floor plan guaranteed to stub your toes. 😊 Just 30 something hours before heading back to Colorado.
Two days left of our vacation, train to Lisbon. Rented a small AirBnB in Alfama we’re ready to get back home and get on with the holidays.
Storm Claudia didn’t hold back! Rain and high winds, we stepped out for seafood when we thought the rain had stopped.
We could not ask for anything more. November is rainy season in Portugal, but we had consistently good weather. Day five in Albufeira was our planned packing day, perfect timing for when storm Claudia hit Portugal.
