I missed it in Bologna a couple of years ago too!
A birthday weekend of wonders!
- Wes Anderson Archives, Design Museum
- Into the Woods, Bridge Theatre
- Starling murmuration, Tring reservoir
- Natural History Museum, Tring
I had a ticket for this but couldnβt make it in the end. Hope to see it some other time.
An evening of beautiful music at the Barbican last night in the company of Andrew Bird & the Britten Sinfonia performing The Mysterious Production of Eggs.
Left cold by the production of Man and Boy at the National. Couldnβt get on with the staging at all, it was just actors jumping on and off tables for 2 hours. Sorry, but not for me. #theatresky
Dirty Business has made it crystal clear - it's just UNACCEPTABLE for our water to be run for profit for shareholders and creditors
In public ownership, Thames Water could be accountable to households, workers, anti sewage groups, local councillors π

Excellent, more of this sort of thing please π
I didnβt know about picturehouse central π«
Oh itβs that same greedy git who wants to close down the @princecharlescinema.com
It was the final performance too. At least it still went ahead.
Second play at the #RoyalCourt was Guess How Much I Love You? Iβd been looking forward to this one, so it was disappointing that Rosie Sheey couldnβt perform today. A very moving & honest play about a painful subject, which still finds moments of humour. Robert Aramayo excellent. #theatresky
Having a 2 play day at the #RoyalCourt theatre. First up, The Shitheads! Plays out like a state of the nation satire that happens to be set in prehistoric times, tribalism dragging everyone back to the cave. A unique, ambitious debut featuring some fantastic puppetry, loved it. #theatresky
Suede were on top form in Cambridge last night. Love the live tracks from the new album. Tons of energy.
Small Prophets in the style of the old Sea Monkeys advert
Just looking through some old comics and found a mail order advert for Small Prophets
One week left to see Lee Miller at #TateBritain
An essential exhibition showcasing an incredible career, from fashion and surrealism to war photo journalism.
During yesterdayβs visit, the lights went out in the room displaying her photos taken during the blitz, to unintentionally eerie effect.
Fantastic read, and I hope 28 YEARS LATER 3 ends up happening and it plays out like this.
Oh, #WonderMan is on Disney+ now.
I was very charmed and impressed by it. Two phenomenal leads in Yahya Abdul Mateen II and Ben Kingsley, a clear love of film and television, and a fun and sweet story about navigating the machinery of fame.
A really good time.
David Lynch, photography by Pari Dukovic
Today is the 80th birthday of DAVID LYNCH. A day to celebrate the birth of an artist who forever changed the world of art and culture. And our lives. Thank you for everything. Long live The Greatest.
28 YEARS LATER: THE BONE TEMPLE. Delusional, psychopathic cult leaders and rage fuelled nationalism as zombie psychosis - welcome to 2026.
Left the cinema feeling emotional, thinking of how much has been lost since the first film was released. Also, Ralph Fiennes, total fucking legend π₯
As much as I love this song by Jarvis Cocker, Iβd really like there to be a time when I donβt have to play it anymoreβ¦

Looks like it could be! π
Knit your own Boris Johnson fright mask, anyone?
Photo of a young David Lynch with his eyes closed beside a wall of film reels of various sizes
βBlack has depth.. you can go into it.. And you start seeing what youβre afraid of. You start seeing what you love, and it becomes like a dream.β β David Lynch
One year on and we continue to miss your darkness and your light.
David Lynch died a year ago.
I miss his artistry but I really miss him making me laugh.
Orson Welles Narrates an Animated Parable About How Xenophobia & Greed Will Put America Into Decline (1971)
Got the lurgy here too πββοΈπ€§
The weekend starts here⦠in NFT2 for Out 1.
Think Iβll relax in the #BFISouthbank Black Lodge during the intervals.

Iβm not saying that *everyone* should do #Barbanuary - where we all watch Barbara Stanwyck movies all month - but I AM saying that her three best movies are currently on BBC iPlayer (Double Indemnity), Amazon Prime (Ball of Fire) and Channel 4 (The Lady Eve), respectively.
