I'm planning to clean up and upload two more little books illustrated by Repkin quite soon.

Here are some pages from a little book illustrated by Pyotr Repkin, an art director for a number of Soviet cartoons (including Mowgli, the Soviet adaptation of The Jungle Book). You can really tell the drawings were made by an animator.

A while back, I scanned some Soviet children's books and uploaded them to Internet Archive (link: archive.org/details/@olg...) and I want to get back to it. The art in them is great and deserves to be shared.

He probably had to grow up fast even by their standards.
Also, he looks like the kind of guy you'd want to swap bad-life-choice stories with over a cup of whatever passes for coffee in Neanderthal times.

As the internet becomes increasingly unpleasant and overwhelming, I think people are starting to use real life to escape from it instead of the other way around. At least that's true for me. I mostly check my DMs and the people I follow from time to time and that's it

I was actually going to draw Link having a midlife crisis for his 40th anniversary, but I've been too busy having one myself.

Link from The Legend of Zelda fighting a large single-horned dragon Aquamentus. Link climbs the dragon's back with a sword in his hand, to approach its head. The dragon breathes fire. In the distance, a Triforce fragment levitates over an altar.

Some sketches for the film

I tested smarter models on a niche anthropology topic and they dug up two real books even I didn't know existed (later found them on Libgen). So I believe the tech itself does have potential but the models used for general "research" are worse than nothing and it's infuriating in so many ways

Early video game publications are among their weakest spots for some reason. I have a whole list of "early Zelda artists" they just fabricated out of nowhere lol

Zelda fans are more intense about what's "real" than philosophers lol.

He said back in 2019 that the BotW sequel would be inspired by RDR2 but as someone who's played both, I can't name anything in common between RDR2 and TotK besides them both being open-worlds. So... maybe there's some hope 🥲 I don't think they have a solid vision yet
