Another freshly minted PhD from our lab. Congratulations, Dr. Ulla Rosskopf 🥳! For her PhD within the #Rhizosphere #SPP2089, Ulla looked at how roots deform the soil, how much force they need to penetrate it and the role that mucilage palys in all of this. Very well done, Ulla!

It's always a lot of fun to be in the field with motivated students, especially when they come from different disciplines, such as geography, plant biotechnology and molecular microbiology 🥾🤠🪏

Today, we visited @brukercorporation.bsky.social in Belgium to take a look at what will be our new toy in a few months 😊. Can't wait until finally have it in our lab.

We had a great day in the field today with fantastic and motivated students, acquiring data and taking soil samples 🤓🪏🤠

Today, we went to the CT lab with our guest, Dr. John Clunes from 🇨🇱, to 🔎 the structure of different Chilean volcanic soils. 🤓

It was really great to welcome @inesmulder.bsky.social of @ruhr-uni-bochum.de yesterday here at her alma mater and learn more about her exciting research on the effects of disinfectants in soils.
