Rogan Calls Trans People “Perverts,” Spreads School Shooting Lies On Show This week, on The Joe Rogan Experience: Steve-O and more anti-trans hate.

1. Yesterday, Joe Rogan called transgender people perverts and school shooters to his audience of tens of millions of people.

It was his most overt display of transphobia yet.

Democrats wanted to court this man and his listeners.

The latest from our journalist, S. Baum.

Dropkick Murphys finish up their set at a benefit show across from Alex Pretti Memorial: “We’ll never forget what we saw with our own eyes, we’ll never forget what we’ve seen here today. thank we’ve seen here today. Thank you all for allowing us to come bear witness with you, thank you Minnesota!”.

Perhaps he was a Nazi then but he didn't feel he could make "ex-Nazi" work now and thought "I didn't know it was a Nazi symbol" would play better.

Regardless, he's still the better of the two options.

They probably fucking love the Joker, too.

Then don't vote for him. Vote for that piece of shit Collins. Or for 80 year old Mills. Or someone else. Or don't vote. I'm seeing a lot of people, especially outside of Maine, shitting on Platner when he's the only one showing up to town halls and talking to Mainers.

I'm so tired of hearing about the fucking tattoo.
This is exactly what Schumer, Mills, and the fucking DNC wants.

They want us to focus on this shit so we vote Mills instead of the possibility of having actual reform in this state.

Pretty disappointing to see a company like this going along with the "Department of War" verbiage that Congress has not approved.

Stephen and the Administration are the savages that torture and murder.

Report it to their management.

That shit should not be allowed.

Anything that comes out against him is seen as attempts to spike his campaign by the elitist, do-nothing, corporate-owned, AIPAC-supported Democratic Party leadership that has failed us utterly.

Platner acts and talks like a real person rather than a politician.
He made stupid mistakes in his past? That just makes him more relatable. He's worked as an oysterman. He's served in the Armed Forces. He wants working people to have more support.

Here's the thing re: Platner that I think out-of-staters don't get.

For the past 6+ months, he has been going throughout Maine to listen to people's concerns. We needed this desperately.

Collins hasn't held a town hall in years and when she did, she didn't listen to people.

Well, if there was ever a way for a Kennedy to ever get booed in New England, this would be it...

At this point, given the polls, it's going to be Mills or Platner. Platner is the only one with the juice to defeat Mills.

He's shown remarkable resilience because he keeps doing town halls, meeting Mainers, and listening to us.

Is he perfect? No. But he wants to fight for the working class.

I wouldn't but I also am not him.

Because I am a Mainer and I want a Senator that represents my values.

Also, I am diametrically opposed to Nazism and the Right.

We don't know when he knew about it being a Nazi symbol...

At CBS News, where staffers are apparently barred from reading history books, the hostilities between Iran and the US don’t begin until 1979.

Can't wait for the tawdry TV movies, TV shows, etc. about the Epstein Files to come out.

I'm hoping for a Broadway musical: Epstein!

He asked about the stereotype of Black people tipping on Reddit. Let's be real here, this is Maine. He probably didn't encounter a lot of Black people growing up here.

And he's apologized for that. Same with the other Reddit comments. I'm sure lots of folks have embarrassing Reddit comments.

04.03.2026 05:15 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

We don't know when he knew exactly.

Platner's been vocally supportive of our Somali community in Maine and deeply critical of ICE.

What if he is an ex-Nazi but now has moved to the Left? Do people deserve grace for their past mistakes? (Assuming we're not talking about rape, sexual assault, etc.)

If he was *still* a Nazi, he wouldn't be running as a Dem. Not when he could be mask off as a Republican.

04.03.2026 05:03 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0

Whoa... what's with the slurs?
Fuck antisemitism now and forever.

Also, he does not have a Nazi tattoo. It's been covered up.

04.03.2026 05:00 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0

That he's said repeatedly was a mistake. He didn't realize it was a Nazi symbol when he got it. He was a drunk Marine.

04.03.2026 04:59 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0

He's polling far better against Collins than Mills is.

The tattoo is covered up. It was a youthful drunken mistake that he didn't realize was a Nazi symbol.

04.03.2026 04:58 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0

I don't see why Jewish feelings would be hurt. The man is not a Nazi. He's been explicit about that.

If feelings are hurt over his criticism of Israel, however, then they deserve to be hurt. Being anti-genocide is the morally right thing to do.

04.03.2026 04:56 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

He's been a community organizer.
For me, it's that he has the right positions. He's anti-corporate, pro-labor, pro-living wage, Medicare4All. All of the DSA positions you want in a candidate.

He's also young. His opponent is a nearly-80 y/o corporate Dem who was a below average Governor.

04.03.2026 04:54 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

OK, but a lot of us do.

04.03.2026 03:13 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0

No. Fuck that. He's still the best option we have.

We love the guy here in Maine and I'm tired of out-of-staters acting like it's a problem.
