Let's say we declare war with Iraq. The war lasts 1 year, then we spend half a year at peace. Then we declare war again, it lasts 1/4 a year, and spend 1/8 a year at peace after that. Then another war for 1/16 a year followed by 1/32 of peace, etc. After exactly 2 years, will there be war or peace?
