The first step is to convince them there is something wrong with them. Otherwise therapy is a waste of time (speaking as someone who goes to therapy).

Won’t happen. Too many guys think in a capitalistic or positivist mindset, where there has to be a scientific method for everything. Thats why PUAs are popular. A simple “people are complicated” won’t suffice.
