You could feel the vibe shift for the #Knicks right from the start of the 3rd quarter. They got rattled as soon as Durant started dominating. They had no answer for him.
I'm old enough to remember when it came out. It was a decade after TOS ended, hence the long sequences of the refitted Enterprise from every possible angle. But more importantly, I think Robert Wise was much more influenced by 2001: A Space Odyssey (only 11 years old at that point) than Star Trek.
