I made the mistake of listening to talkSPORT this morning on a drive and they didn’t once mention Citeh dropping points, repeatedly referencing Arsenal’s style of play and corners. Bizarre.

I think he handles himself incredibly well. Don’t know how he manages to bite his tongue so often. Look at the leading article on the bbc sports page at the moment. They aren’t even being subtle about the criticism/bias now.

What’s funny is the bbc article on the sports page bangs on about length of time Arsenal take with corners and quotes Hurzeler moaning, but then makes a vague/cursory comment about average length of time ball is in play with Arsenal, compared to other teams because it doesn’t fit the narrative.

It wouldn’t get the same critique amongst the media and pundits if it was City or Liverpool benefiting from it.

You laugh but this is clearly what the media/pundits are alluding to when they are whinging about our corners.

Yeah, I think this is what frustrates me. I totally agree that if the inevitable happens and they either change the rules or the way they officiate corners we will simply adapt…but it’s the way the media seems to target this due to its association with our current success.
