A Reading Rainbow Facebook post, celebrating Womenβs History month, featuring Shark Lady. Mae Among the Stars, and others, in a carousel post.
It's a pleasure to see SHARK LADY
alongside the beacon of literacy that kept so many kids (like me!) full up on amazing books all through childhood.
Reading Rainbow - thanks for sharing! Hit me up if you need an unruly lady to talk books, any day.
Happy it helps!!

Just now realized there are a whole bunch of animals out there in the world with the same birthday as me β and weβre all just going through this life thing together. π

1st book was pubbed, but have had easily 6+ trunked novels. PBs itβs more. 99% of trunked things stay that way.
Also worth noting I firmly believe some books need to be written *to get them out of your brain* & theyβre not meant to be published β and thatβs okay. Itβs marbles in a tube. Makes room.
This happened to me at an airport in baggage claim! A therapy dog absolutely beelined to me and first I was like βhe knows Iβm a dog soul!β and then realized OH WAIT π

A photo of the sharp edges and curves carved into a snow drift by the wind. It looks a bit like a wave cresting with sharp shadows and highlights.
A snowdrift sculpture carved by the wind to look a bit like a wave cresting. The top is is deep shadow while the sides are brightly lit by the sun.
An abstract photo of a snow drift. The sharp line between the top and sides slices through the image, leaving the top in dark shadow with the side brightly lit.
The swooping sculpture of a snowdrift carved by the snow showing off sharp contrast between shadow and light.
The winds have been carving some amazing formations into the snow along the highway. For size reference, these drifts are at least as tall as me.
Say what you will about January, but Iβve never met a month as adamant that we feel every single one of her days.
I think Asana has a thing where a little unicorn or other magical creature jumps across the screen with a sparkle with every task you complete. I havenβt used it in ages but know some artist friends who like it specifically for the unicorn. Youβd have to make βtasksβ, but βquery 1β etc could work.
A sculpture of the very hungry caterpillar, held up by a hand. It is sculpted to be anatomically correct and has bright green body segments and a red head with purple antennae.

Ahh thank youuuuu!!! Perfect
Not all our Keepers wear green!
Zebra foals imprint on their mothers by recognising their unique patterns of stripes. When we rescued this little foal - orphaned after a lion attack - we dusted off our Zebra coat, so that she didnβt feel alone and knew who to follow.
A hand holding a copy of Gross as a Snot Otter, featuring a slimy looking hellbender salamander.
Itβs Appreciate A Dragon Day?! I almost missed it.
Boy howdy, have I got a book for you. (Because we should all be counting snot otters as modern day dragons, yes??)
