Founding a business like a theme park or theatre that becomes essential to the community isn’t something that happens for *you*. It’s a responsibility. Memories of their childhood, first dates, friendships, birthdays, proposals, and every other life experience all rely on you.

Your actions affect people. The workers, families, and everyone else in that community rely on it. It’ll be about funneling money from those in the society instead of providing a way for them to spend their time and live their lives.

You can pass the business on while still owning stake in it, you can hire a management team to do your job for you, you can promote an employee who knows the ins and outs and let them run the business for you or even eventually sell it to that employee.
If you own a business that’s a signature in your community like a local theme park, theatre, etc. and you decide to retire, the most SELFISH thing you can do is sell it to a corporation or close it. 1/5
