Depicted are my Doctor Who-themed parody posters of the movies that were recipients of Best Picture Oscars. Graham Booked (Green Book), Sensorite (Parasite), Boradland (Borderland), All Of Time And Space Everything That Ever Happened Or Ever Will (Everything Everywhere All at Once), Auton Terror (Oppenheimer), and Anita (Anora). Note: I skipped the 2022 Oscars.
β¦ Hopefully, I can avoid a repeat of 2022 (a year I skipped). π€
In the interim, here are my #DoctorWho -themed parodies of past Best Picture Oscar winners.

β¦ My aforementioned family member's health permitting, I'm going to attempt to crank out #DoctorWho -themed parody posters of all ten of this year's Best Picture Oscar nominees this weekend. I create them via traditional Photoshop (NOT AI), so it's a rather time consuming processβ¦

2019 was the year I started making #DoctorWho -themed parodies of all the films nominated that year for a Best Picture #Oscar. The #AcademyAwards are this weekend. I hope to continue my tradition, but caring for a family member with serious health issues has limited my availability to do soβ¦

Jim Dale is a wonderful narrator. He also narrated all the U.S. Harry Potter audiobooks. I tried a Stephen Fry narrated one once, but it was like drinking New Coke (back when I still drank soda) - why bother?
Granted, I don't foresee myself revisiting ANY HP content, thanks to JKR's vitriol.

As did I.
For a while, I held off buying the DVD set figuring I'd wait for a Blu-ray release. I gave up on that notion and got the DVD set in 2017 while it was still affordable.
Last year, I noticed someone up-scaled the series to 4K & uploaded it to YouTube, but that YT user has been suspended.

Wonderfalls - Official Trailer | IMDb
24-year-old loner B.A. Jaye lives in a trailer park and sells souvenirs in Niagara Falls. Animal figurines and dolls speak to her and force her to interact with people and try to help them.
Wonderfalls
While people of a certain age might have seen Bryan Fuller's short-lived show (only 4 episodes aired on FOX before it was axed), the full 13-episode U.S. DVD release was over 21 years ago and that release is long out of circulation.

Depicted is my new temporary Bluesky profile banner. It's a PokΓ©mon ball with my user name written in a typeface similar to the PokΓ©mon logo (created via traditional Photoshop). The graphic is set against a black background. AnyWHO - any excuse to mix things up here. Given my lack of investment in this franchise, this will likely be a very temporary banner. That said, I've preserved it for prosperity via this post.
I redecorated⦠again.
(new Bluesky banner)
According to my feed, February 27α΅Κ° is #PokΓ©monDay, on account the first PokΓ©mon game debuted on this date 30 years ago. I've never played the games, nor have I watched the TV shows. Though, I did see PokΓ©mon: Detective Pikachu via a free screener pass.

Katee Sackhoff Watches Battlestar Galactica for the FIRST Time | BSG Miniseries (Part 1)
YouTube video by Katee Sackhoff
I've been meaning to do a re-watch of the 2003 #BSG miniseries & the subsequent 2004 TV series, but now that #KateeSackhoff & her husband #RobinGadsby are doing a YT reaction series of their first ever watch of BSG, I'm considering revisiting it through their eyes instead.

Depicted are Amazon U.S. DVD region one options for Doctor Who The Movie. The 2011 release is currently fetching $124.99, and the 2013 Doctors revisited DVD, which contains select stories from Doctors 5-8 (namely, Earthshock, Vengeance on Varos, Remembrance of the Daleks, and Doctor Who The Movie), is going for $70.00. Note: The lower-priced tabs in the listing for Doctor Who the Movie are for regions outside of the U.S.
Does anyone know if the recently announced 4K Blu-ray release of Doctor Who The Movie will be getting a region A release (i.e. Americas, Japan, S. Korea, Taiwan, & other areas of SE Asia)?
U.S. DVD options are currently very pricey (lower-priced tabs depicted are for other regions).

Depicted is a screen grab of the Dropping Names with Brent and Jonny YouTube podcast as it appears in my Android device's Podcast Addict app (after I manually added the URL to the app). Several of the other various podcast logos I subscribe to are also captured in the screen grab.
Note: I didn't see the podcast when I searched for it by name via the Podcast Addict podcast aggregator app I use. As a workaround, I manually copied and pasted the YouTube URL below directly into the Podcast Addict app, which in turn added it to my subscriptions.

Depicted is a photograph by National Geographic photographer Jon Schneeberger that appeared in a 1981 issue of National Geographic Magazine in an article by Rick Gore. The shot is a close-up picture of my father holding a glowing hot space shuttle tile (heated in a kiln) with his bare hands.
January 28α΅Κ°, 1986 was a very somber day in my household. My father was a materials engineer on the Shuttle Program. His bare hand holding up a kiln-heated shuttle tile is featured in a 1981 National Geographic article titled "When the Space Shuttle Finally Flies".

Depicted (top) is an official NASA photo of the Seven Space Shuttle Challenger Astronauts who perished in mission STS-51-L 40 years ago. Also depicted (bottom) is Doctor Who companion Ace wearing her iconic jacket. One of the patches on the jacket is the official patch issued for that ill-fated mission. The patch Ace wears only lists five of the seven astronauts, on account the outer ring of the patch that contains the names "McAULIFFEπ" & "JARVIS" is missing from the patch affixed to her jacket. Also shown is a Wanderers in the 4th Dimension podcast logo, as this graphic was originally created for my podcast's Facebook page.
Depicted is the official patch for the ill-fated Space Shuttle Challenger STS-51-L mission. The circular patch is mostly white with grey trim. The shuttle is shown swooping in from left to right with a yellow contrail in its wake. Behind the shuttle is the Earth and behind the Earth is a U.S. flag. The names of five of the seven crew members (i.e. "McNAIR", "ONIZUKA", "RESNIK", "SCOBEE", & "SMITH"),are listed in black text around the patch's periphery. Additionally, the other two crew members' name (i.e. "McCAULIFFEπ", and "JARVIS") are listed at the bottom in a tabbed extension to the main ring of names. McCauliffe's name has an apple icon next to it an account she was a school teacher who was selected to fly on that mission.
40 years ago, Space Shuttle Challenger mission STS-51-L ended in a catastrophic failure that claimed the lives of all 7 crew members. One of the patches Doctor Who's Ace prominently wears on the front of her iconic jacket is the official patch of that ill-fated mission.
