A movement is calling for an 'economic blackout' on Friday. Here's what to know The People's Union USA, a grassroots group, is calling on Americans to join a national boycott by not shopping for 24 hours on Friday.

Reminder that today is an economic blackout. Don't buy from chains or big box stores!

However! You are still encouraged to shop at local and small businesses, and you can, of course, still buy medicine, food and emergency supplies.
