Thank you for responding. I would definitely consider The Death Gate Cycle to be dark fantasy. McCaffrey, to me, just doesn’t feel like dark fantasy. I’m eagerly waiting for your thoughts after you finish!

I’m also interested to hear what you think of Weis and Hickman’s Death Gate Cycle. I bought that series in hardcover as it was published. Thank goodness for my Waldenbooks paycheck 🤣

This book title sounds very familiar…was it part of a giveaway at some point or am I confusing the title with another book?
Finally, I have a bunch of books being held hostage at Kobo and Harlequin because you can’t download the books you buy at either place. You have to use their apps and frankly they’re awful. 😟 Despite all of the MANY issues with Amz, they did manage to make an outstanding reader.
I use a kindle fire to read. PDFs don’t work great because you can’t install the Adobe app. I prefer epub because I can download them to my phone and format the title/author before sending them to my kindle. I will be investigating Calibre this year to assist in keeping the Amz books I bought.
I do 90-95% of my reading in KU. My local libby has very few LGBTQ books, mostly bios. Plus they changed the way you get and return books so it’s a big hassle now instead of clicking “return book” so I deleted the app last year. The rest are books I own via BF giveaways or bought via direct sale.
Yes! I loved Bill Murray’s groundhog commercial for Jeep 🤣 and the one with the self parking car with Chris Evans using his Boston accent 😂 OH and the NFL 100 one where they were chasing a football? 😂🤣😂
