This is a really cool elusive target mission. Besides the mechanics of it, I thought it added some cool story bits to the Dartmoor location.

Super cool, yeah!
It has also been some time for me since HITMAN 3 (2021 - times flies).
Looking forward to our next releases as well.
I haven't been into any of the prior mini games before Demacia Rising, but I've really enjoyed this one. It's also been popular in my friend group of 30+ aged players.
Congratulations on the final release (soon) and well done to you and your team :)
So you're saying that's not where I should be sending you memes anymore?
A quiet place really made an impression on me, suddenly being aware of the volume of my popcorn being crunched was creating
You'd like this noClip doc from Embark (and you're right about the OG DICE alumni working on Arc)

Give Sunderfolk a try.
Such a wholesome experience and a great entry point to board game like mechanics in digital form akin to Gloomhaven and Frosthaven. Every single friend group we've shown it to has loved it :)

This thread is a fine example of what happens when assumptions overflow online. We know the difference, folks. We asked for that position because we need that specific skillset.
Very excited for everyone to finally see a whole lot of cool gameplay from what the team has been cooking. You're in for a treat :)
Every time I have to use a right-click menu I feel like I'm less efficient
I especially love that it's ambiguous about whether x y or z is up. Diabolical!
Haha great suggestion! It probably wouldn't work? I think we need to add "ease of tasting" to the parameters. Both tap beer and ice cream are extremely fast to serve to taste and is usually served over the counter
Probably a mix of the product being fully prepared and ready to be served (ice-cream or tap beer) from a source amount that's not measured in per units and having a set minimum amount required for when you order (compared to your candy example). I wonder how many other products fit that category.
I don't remember the movie too well, but I'm guessing it's probably pretty close!
The unending quest to enforce a consistent code name framework that everyone agrees on and likes continues... :D
I also finished it today and absolutely loved it. I ended up with a fairly "happy" ending - ateast for an 11 bit game. Great article :)
Just finished "The Alters" and absolutely adored it. By far my favorite game of the year so far. Just excellent from beginning to end. Highly recommendable and if you have game pass you already have access to it π
It is indeed brilliant! I sadly had to restart since my save on ps5 got corrupted somehow
It's good to have an area of focus as a generalist as a base to work from. However in bigger organizations the worth of a generalist can tend to be forgotten because we are harder to fit into boxes in a production schedule that doesn't empower the flexibility you get from generalists
Very happy with a dev tool update I added for the team today. It makes it much easier and faster to interact with and test some of the core components of our game anytime, anywhere while playing without releasing your hands from the input device. So powerful! There's a GDC talk brewing I think...
That feeling when you find a small little UX improvement to the editor tools that you know no one would ask for but everyone you show it to loves the idea of is great.
Use 30 min to implement it through an ancient system that does exactly what you need and give instant value to your peers. Good day!
Did my first external game jam in over 10 years and had a great time in a team with IO colleagues making a hectic stealth game for players who don't care about stealth.
You can download and play it from: krainert.itch.io/cheese-it
Each round is 2 min, so it's quick to try :)
Try them out sliced in half, add your preferred seasoning (no bacon allowed!) and oven roasted in a bit of olive oil. Delicious!
Happy GDC everyone! 2023 was my first year going and it was a really inspiring week of getting to meet so many new, awesome dev peers in the industry. I hope I'll get the opportunity to visit some other time.
I can't wait to indulge in all the knowledge sharing that will appear online soon!
Okay this makes way more sense than whatever magical tech I was thinking of that would even be able to retract a mail after it had gone out. Thanks! Cool feature though, never heard of it (maybe a ux topic there? ;) )
Undo send. Wait what?
I'd suggest checking out the Malazan: Book of the Fallen books and their organizational structure of gods. Really interesting take on several generations of gods and their power structure. Makes space for a lot of different tiered gods. Shadowthrone and Cotillion are trying to become higher tier.
This was me with Shogun Showdown recently. Can't recommend if you value having spare time :D
Great feeling <3
Have had to do it for 10 years now since cables apparently are the most delicious thing in a roaming Chinchilla's mind :D
