The length is justified by its scale, and there are twists to it. It'd be a farce if people didn't get hurt.

Early or late, it’s inevitable. Anyone who has a positive opinion of Vic has not been around him long enough.

He just can’t help himself. He can’t keep it in his pants, not even in public, and he doesn’t care about people any farther than he can use them. He’s a beast of pure instant gratification.

Pretty sure Vic has moved on from trying to return to anime VO and is now focused on making genAI video content

But let's not forget, literal years after all of this was made very public knowledge, Anime Matsuri and a certain Jacob Takanashi tried very hard to bring Vic back into the dubbing scene.

If you dislike a show, that’s fine.
If you enjoy a show but still have criticisms of it, that’s fine.
If your dislike of a show has led you to conclude that the creator is a bad person and that harassing them is morally righteous, that’s NOT fine! Grow the fuck up!!

GOAT is well worth a watch. While the writing and humor leave a little to be desired [ à la WIR2 / The Emoji Movie ], it's negligible compared to how lovely the film is. Exceptional art direction, character design, and animation.

it’s how media literacy is formed. By looking into themes and patterns that may be there and make connections. They may not always be right, but that’s part of the enjoyment of media. The issue doesn’t come with theorizing, it comes with entitlement.

This is fair. I mainly take issue with how theory culture overcomplicates and misses the point of media.

Too often it focuses too hard on piecing together a puzzle, rather than the appreciating whole picture and what it's saying; the "no meaning, only lore" idea that killed Twin Peaks for 25 years.

Animation and comics friends, I’d love to see pretty examples of limited color! all my skill points are in storyboard. my color points are very low. I’m trying to think of ways to do limited mostly flat color bgs in a way that would be fast and accessible to me. Open to suggestions!
