Anybody who knows people in the LGBTQ+ community also knows that these are some of the most courageous people. They overcome opposition on their path to being authentic selves, while mainstream Republicans just fit like cogs into their oppressive machine, preaching freedom but practicing oppression.
The constitution, the bill of rights, are beyond the grasp of this government. They are simply un-American, in the sense they do not understand or share the aspirational values of this place.

We celebrate the courageous once they have been sacrificed, instead of supporting them at the time they try to fight against injustice. We may not all be leaders, but we need to stop being inexcusable cowards.
It baffles me that in this pool of educated people there are not enough decent human beings that would stand together and (at least) remind the president that his sexist and racist verbal abuse is not presidential.
