She was locked up by ICE. Her son died the next day. The family and their community are pushing for the mother’s release so she can mourn her son and attend his funeral.

In early January, Arlit Martinez-Carrada was taken into ICE custody on her way to work near Salisbury, MD. A day later, her teenage son who had cancer died.

Royal Caribbean cruise ship to sail from Baltimore part-time in 2027 The Royal Caribbean ship, “Vision of the Seas,” will be returning to the Port of Baltimore in 2027 after the cruise line announced last year it would move the ship to Florida.

A Baltimore-based cruise ship will depart the area in late 2026, however, it will return for the summer and fall season in 2027, Royal Caribbean said.
