but, going to start trying the opposite. no big reason other than my original point, that my shrinking economic and social fears (reasonably) affected my desire to be public, and finally doing work that matters to me and (hopefully) others has had enough of a qualitative change

partially the problem is that as a half black autistic queer with lots of lore, my problems and fears feel like they very often don't align with others, especially in tech. even in online communities when i was younger, nothing really stuck, and i'm finally mostly used to it

now that i have actually saved some amount of money (and maybe have a hint of a hint of a reputation), and have a well paying and survivable job, i'm slightly less afraid of this. but the fear is still there

realizing that my long-held avoidance of posting anything vaguely meaningful has been because of a conviction that what is happening in this country would happen; as well as drive to keep the feed clean in case the horrible companies that often gatekeep jobs check my social media

solid! not life changing but i got exactly what i hoped for.
